Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are the 2nd owners of this fantastic unit, never had pets or smoking, lots of extras: Perfect size at 33.7 ft tip to tip, three slide outs (with toppers) make this roomy. NEWMAR quality is amazing...here we go! 1. Onboard Onan generator with 21 gallon gas onboard fuel tank, can run the entire unit...
We are new to the community and pulled the trigger and ordered our first RV! We need to purchase a washer dryer and I'm leaning to the stackable set. Would love guidance on what type and model. We take deliver in 8 weeks so I have plenty of time. Blessings, Phyllis Yucatonis New Owner BIG HORN Fifth Wh...
I learn of the RV-Dreams.com website on the RV driving school site, I wish I knew about the rallies, I would have planned to attend this year, despite covid19. Will you be notifying members about the next rally? I like the opportunity to learn/hands-on seminars at the rallies.Annie -- Edited by Pi...
It looks like we're going to have to replace the washing machine in our Mobile Suites. I'm struggling to find a machine that will fit in the space. I did find a Bosch that will fit, but it is a 220v (we have 110v right now). I'm wondering if anyone has used an adapter to convert the 110 plugs to 220? I foun...
Establishing the ministry God has place a burden upon me. The Lord has given me a call from the age of 15 to minister the gospel. Recently, the burden through outreach has inspired me to reach souls in the RV ministry. Praying for revival. I have learned that RVing has some personal benefits too.
We are shopping for full timer insurance for our 2018 DRV Atlanta. We plan to start full timing in April. Everyone recommends going through Miller, however they cannot work with New Yorkers. It looks as though we could go direct through Progressive. We plan to call Geico. Interested in thoughts and s...
Has anyone made a sewer hose weight? So many of the sewer openings don't have threads so the threaded fittings don't hold the hose positively down into the opening. I want to make something, but I'm having trouble thinking of something that can be used in all the contingencies we find and...
This is really selling rather than buying...but it seems like an appropriate choice of forum for this question. We have a potential buyer for our rig but he is in Idaho and we are in Florida. His opening idea was to pay for an inspection, pay for the rig via escrow, hire somebody to deliver, and release f...
I've updated our post in the classified section…we've lowered the price on our 2012 40 foot New Horizons Majestic. If you or anybody you know is looking for an ideal full time rig…please pass our details along to them. We're doing well now that we're off the road…but our rig needs it's next owners to con...
We are looking at a 5th wheel this weekend that we are very interested in. Suggestions for where to go for insurance? We will be storing the rv through the winter and going FT in the spring. We talked to Miller in Oregon - they cannot help as we are keeping our domicile in New York. TIA!
Mt sister has left me her 2017 Newmar Baystar 3009 and I have a few questions if anyone can help. In the bay where the pump is there is a hose connected to winterize and add sanitizer to the fresh water tank. There are two bypass valves on the main hose. One turns off the "winterization" hose and the other I a...
When we ordered our trailer, we made a conscious decision to not order an onboard generator, for several reasons, including:1) They need to be "exercised" regularly, regardless if you need them for electricity, this is wasteful of gas,2) They're expensive to buy and, over the life of our camper, co...
For the first time, we will be spending three months in one place (Arizona) over the winter. During the rest of the year we move about every two weeks. In the past we have never considered tire covers because we moved so frequently. I am wondering if tire covers are truly beneficial, or, can they cau...
The wife and I are having a discussion. Are full-timers less or more susceptible to contracting COVID-19 (or any other disease) as we move about the country? We typically relocate every 3-4 days (except during our "wintering over" stays) and usually have only casual contact with other campers. So b...

Selling our composting toilet that we used for 6 months (urine bottle not included, that thing got tossed but can easily be replaced!). We have THOROUGHLY cleaned the toilet. Originally purchased for $960. Only reason we are selling it is because we no longer live in an RV $550 OBO (willing to em...
Hello everyone....I'm using my hubby's account here to ask this question. Now I know it's been discussed over and over, and is simply a matter of preference. What I would really appreciate is feedback from those who have actually had a motor home and gone to fiver (this is what we're considering) and a...
How do you RV when a person traveling with you is on oxygen 24/7? How dangerous is it? Should I be concerned with propane devices in the rig? Our rig has residential fridge but no heat pumps...stove top and oven are propane...HWH is electric/propane. I can't find much on the subject, and this oxyg...
Probably more correctly I signed a sales agreement on my house. Whether or not it actually sells it somewhat another matter but the first step is complete. We'll probably move into one of our empty rental units for a couple of months as it needs to be rehabbed. We should be buying a coach in January or...

Hello! My wife and I are within a couple years of retirement (early 50's) and have talked about fulltime RVing for years. We are going through the same questions I've read about on this site and looking for more thoughts/suggestions on the same topics scattered throughout this blog. ---What type o...
For those that have this bus, we have been looking for a couch and dining booth option since having recliners only won't work for having a place for our dogs to lay down during travel. We didnt realize this when we visited a dealer but now cant find that option online. Is it a custom order only? There has to...
