Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are new to the community and pulled the trigger and ordered our first RV! We need to purchase a washer dryer and I'm leaning to the stackable set. Would love guidance on what type and model. We take deliver in 8 weeks so I have plenty of time.
After almost 4 years we are very happy with our Whirlpool Stackable Washer / Dryer
They have a little larger tub than many RV units, both the Washer and Dryer Cycle is about 1 hour, so when the Washer is done, it is time to unload the Dryer and move items from the Washer to the Dryer.
Anybody have the Splendide combo unit? How does it stack up (no pun intended) against the stackables? We will need to get one or the other for our rig.

We have the vented (2000 series) Splendide and have been using one since 2004. Don't get the unvented 7000 series, where you hear the most complaints due to longer drying times. The loads in combos are smaller and take around 3 hours to wash and dry. We do 6 to 7 loads a week, so there is no "laundry day" in our house. Some hate the combos for the compromises and can't understand why some of us like them. Some can't understand why some of us dislike laundromats.

We have the Splendide stackable vented unit in our Big Horn. We had it installed at the factory rather than after market. When we compared the price to do the after market it came out to roughly the same, and since we knew we wanted the vented unit (the ventless take too long to dry and I didn't want the "moisture" venting into our rig) we just thought it would be safer to have it done by the manufacturer. Also, the salesperson noted that if they installed it at the factory, then it would be covered under our new unit warranty period if we had problems. Thankfully we have had it for 1 year and we have had no problems at all. I love it and am very thankful that I "bit the bullet" for it.
I'm also using stackable and I saw that it really good and convenient. There are many people in my family so I choose a stackable unit to save time on laundry. Beside, the benefit of this kind of machine is that it takes up limited floor space, and if your RV is a smaller one, it will fit in rightly.
