Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have guests here with their Class C RV. Nice unit but......the fuel nozzle is the small one found at the auto-diesel pumps. They cannot use the truck lanes with the larger nozzle. This came out in a conversation about TSD Logistics. The program would be of no use to them as they cannot use the truck lan...
I was quite surprised that a Search for "TSD" came back with nothing on this Forum. I learned about TSD on another forum maybe a month ago. TSD is a fuel discount program, mainly OTR drivers, which, honestly, cost me nothing and the discount is significant. Their program is open to anyone who buys diese...
Not your ordinary boring, brown interior design in an RV. We have painted the walls white, upgraded the cabinetry with modern, gold pulls, and replaced the unflattering, view-hindering valances, and shades for white curtains. Mileage is under 30K and we have had ZERO issues with the rig. Feature...

Plug connecting the truck to the 5th wheel doesn't have 12 vdc (truck side) I think it was pin 7 but I would have to check the diagram to be sure. All other pins have the needed voltage and the brakes, tail lights and running lights are all working when connected. I made the assumption that the 12 vdc pin was...
Anyone out there have a Fleetwood motorhome with electronic touch screen controls by "Precision Circuits" ? This system controls everything from light to HVAC to slides etc. This is the second time we've had issues with our furnace that prevents the AC system from working until the furnace issue is...
I'm a barbecue fanatic. It's not an everyday thing but I like using a charcoal smoker to cook critter. My Weber Smoky Mountain smoker will be a casualty of the divestiture necessary to get this lifestyle going. So help me out here, please. Are any of them worth more than a nickel? I. Must. Have. Barbecue...
Doing some planning/researching. I have a backup generator which is quite loud and annoying, so I feel uncomfortable staying in camping grounds and that's why I would like to replace it asap. (Unfortunately, solar energy is not an option as I need to run AC + I want a reliable backup in case of emergenc...
While this situation might not pertain to most on this forum, the story might be relatable. We tow our car on a dolly. Recently we had to leave it in the storage area during a several week stay. It wasn't easily accessible so I asked to have it moved to an open area. Well one wheel would not move, brake froze...
Hi all, New here. Just got my info and login stuff working and happy to be and RV-er even during COVID19. I grew up on a farm. Then for some strange reason my dad decided to open an RV shop in 1971 and we kids was da workforce. Went to work in the HVAC industry for 5 or so years then onto a Gas and Electric Uti...
Wherever you're all at! Have a Safe Trip getting there! I am still in Middle Tennessee; believe this will be my retirement domicile unless I win the lottery! LOL PIEERE -- Edited by PIEERE on Wednesday 27th of November 2019 07:49:36 AM
Hello, We have been RV'ing on weekends looking forward to retirement for the past 5 years. Our current RV is a THor Vegas 24.1 but at an RV show in Charlotte NC yesterday we came across a Nexus Viper 27V and it looks quite good as our next RV. Just trying to get some intel before making a final offer. Any h...
Really need someone like Howard to weigh in here. Full-time RVers for almost 7 years with no "fall back" or "shelter in place" option. Background: Dale needed an emergency root canal last Monday, after that all dentist shut down in Tucson. After having one appointment in Sedona scheduled, resched...
We'll go first and hope that this might be of interest to many coming behind us. Some might even find a chuckle somewhere in it all and I'm sure as hopefully this thread grows, there'll be some readers nodding or shaking their heads but what the heck ....... Here goes. Our love for RVing started severa...
Weather's been kinda crazy lately and it takes a toll on the interior of the RV, need to take action. Don't know if these are any good cause I lack experience, but I've seen a lot of chat about weather stations, found some here I like cause I'd see the temp in the RV too https://www.optimainstitute.com/...
I don't think I've told anyone here this, except for maybe Howard and Linda but I sometimes get called into service by the FDIC to help them "resolve" failed banks. Essentially what that means is that I have to talk to a lot of borrowers who had loans with the failed bank and help them move them to another...
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we were forced to cancel our Spring Educational Rally that was scheduled for April 2020.However, we have been able to re-schedule at the same RV Resort and we are announcing the 2020 RV-Dreams Fall Educational Rally!Dates: September 14 - 20, 2020 (Monday - Sunda...
Our camper just hit it's five year anniversay and I thought people might want to know how they hold up in the full timing lifestyle. I wrote a post that compares then and now with pictures and comments about the repairs etc that needed to be done. Hope it is helpful. https://camperchronicles.com/...
We're going to switch from a MH and towed to a pickup and Airstream. We've been looking more at 2013 and newer trucks, but a neighbor has suggested that getting a pre-DEF truck might be a wiser choice. Obviously, an older truck will cost less to buy, but will that translate into any real savings? Will mai...

It's hard to make a page of rules fun, but we are going to try. Everyone that has visited other forums has noticed certain things that make the forums irritating, frustrating, or less valuable . We want to keep this forum as entertaining as po...
We want to take a moment to welcome you to the RV-Dreams Community Forum! This Forum was an unexpected addition to the RV-Dreams.com and RV-Dreams Journal websites which we started back in 2005. We never expected either of those websites to develop the tremendous following they now have. We never...
