Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi Howard, Any unexpected changes or updates to rally due to COVID19? We found a RV, hope to purchase this year. Forest River Grey Wolf 27RR Toy-hauler. Looking forward for learning more. Excited and determine, Annie
We have moved back to Oklahoma for a spell, and we are now in an RV park that has its WiFi based off of fiber optic cable. While looking at something this afternoon, I noticed that the WiFi strength was just under full strength, so we must be a ways from the transmitter of WiFi. Since I'm not too literate i...
We were in an accident today and the driver of the other vehicle hit us directly in the rear tire. The tire and wheel are damaged and need to be replaced. We will have the axel inspected too. My question is ... All four rear tires are just under two years old. In order to safely tow our 5th wheel, can we r...
Decided to give an UPDATE. Three months ago; the first couple days of ICU I could not speak;very slowly I spoke a very little; a word misspelled here and there. Until I left the Hospital I continued speaking more;but just maybe two or three words together. Oh I was so distressed; ; but I kept until I had...
This is happening so fast, but we are almost on our way. We sold our house (in Hawaii) a few months ago and are in the process of getting ready to hit the road. We bought a pickup and a small 5th wheel and should be on the road by early March. It's a crazy mess right now, but is starting to fall into place. we boug...

I am looking for the bad and good. How does it compare to FMCA Assist? Thanks in advance. If you would like to email me - gardenhavens@gmail....
I learn of your website on the RV driving school site, I wish I knew about your rallies a year ago , I would have planned to attend this year, despite covid19. Will you be notifying members about next rally?
We went fulltime in 2012 and have kept a blog since the beginning but I don't thing we ever posted a link here so here it is Dave & Diane throwing caution to the wind | It's time to rewire (wordpress.com).
We recently purchased a pre-owned DRV MS. It has a factory installed water filtration system, but do we need to purchase a separate system to "pre" filter the water? I say we need one, hubby says we dont! 😄 -- Edited by jcordar2 on Friday 27th of November 2020 06:58:40 PM
HI, I'm robert. I've been living in my fifth wheel for about 4.5 years and I love living in it...although as I tell people who ask, living in an RV can be work (I know that will not be news around here!) That said, I'm also a 70+ senior, alone, getting older fast as time flies by, and before I leave for my an...
Specifically I was looking at a Wilson 314411 Yagi antenna, but don't necessarily limit any experiences to that antenna. I just seems to me that if you are in an area with weak cell phone signal you could mount a directional antenna on a pole and point it at the nearest cell tower to get better reception...
Our New Horizons 5ver has sold but we still have our truck for sale. If you're looking to upgrade your tow vehicle…this one can tow any 5th wheel on the market, is extremely comfortable both towing and solo…and is ready for the second chapter in it's life.2016 RAM 5500HD Laramie Trim, all options excep...

Needing help finding a good place to purchase either a J lounge or sleeper sofa and 2 recliners. Was hoping to find some used or reconditioned to fit the two back slides. Brad and Hall and Flexsteel are a little pricey and was hoping some of you might know of an RV store that handles replacement furnitu...
Our house went on the market this past weekend so we are now slowly starting to move. We have been working towards this for quite some time and the time to move on is finally here. My wife's dad's house is in Lubbock so that is where we are at now to take care of a few things. We'll then go to Rockport, Galve...
Hi, I was born in Cleveland, OH and at age 7 my family moved to Tampa, FL which is my current residence. I am a teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; a graduate of Tampa Apostolic Bible Institute- Seffner, FL. I am married with 3 adult children and one grandchild. My endeavor is to bring the gospel to comm...
We smelled something burning. Shut down appliances. Found the short when I disconnected to leave. We have a master breaker and separate ones for appliances. I think one of those should have blown but maybe it was outside of that circuit, and a part of the site's power supply? Any thoughts on how to...
So, we are one step closer to starting our RV adventure. Our house (in Hawaii) is in escrow and will close early next month. We will then be moving to Maine for the winter to house sit for my son who is in the Coast Guard and will be out to see for about 3 months (we know it's cold there, but we are from New Englan...
I am looking at a new trailer purchase with a bunkhouse and queen bed, there is a lot of units out there and I am trying to get some good input on a good entry unit. I don't want anything too long thinking between 20-25', I didn't want to go that long but the family thinks anything smaller is too tight. A conce...
We are in the process of buying a new Landmark 5th wheel and a new Ram 3500. We were at the Spring RV-Dreams Rally and saw lots of rigs that had a small "step" in front of the 3 or 4 steps into the rig. We're going to possibly need two of these - one to help my elderly mom reach the side rail on the truck, and the o...
We will be taking our "maiden voyage" along Rt 40 from Elk City OK to Sevierville in the spring for the 2021 rally. We'll be hauling a 43' 5th wheel. We want to plan carefully and we will be following the 2-2-2 rule. We have the Rand McNally truckers atlas and we plan to purchase a Garmin device. Anyone have...
As many of you now my wife and I are getting ready to go full-time in a few months, maybe less. One of the things I have been thinking about is what printer we will want to take. I have a relatively small HP Deskjet 1055 and we have a too large Brother printer right now. What I am looking for is a small color p...
Looking for recommendations for our new to us DRV Atlanta!
Water filter system at the pedestal? Water pressure gauge/regulator?
Surge protector - Progressive Industries EMS PT50X still considered one of the best?
Thank you!!
We have a 37' fifth wheel that has a 13,500BTU ducted AC in the living room and a 5000BTU ceiling unit in the bedroom. When we arrive, I of course get the both AC's going ASAP when its hot out. It takes two hours with both running to cool off the RV when its in the 90's out. The bedroom cools quickly since the ro...
Teresa and I had a great time at the fall 2020 RV-Dreams rally in Sevierville, TN. Great people, great sessions, great food, great fun, great campground. Watching for news of a boondocking rally and reunion rallies... Thanks to Howard and Linda for all you do to make these rallies work! Steve
