Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello, this looks like a great forum. OK long story short, my husband and I are in our 30's. One day he came home from work and said "I'm sick of this town and I'm sick of this mortgage!" And I said, "You know, its a situation we can change". We had plans for later in life but modified th...

We were recently contacted by Laura Matusiak, Recall Coordinator with Norcold. She said they issued a safety recall in 2002 on specific model refrigerators. While many folks have had their refrigerators repaired, there are still a few out there, and she is trying to cover all based in an attempt to...
Because of a stupid mistake I'm not even going to discuss, I now have a crack in the corian cover over the stove top. Is there some way to repair it? Thank you, Brenda

Anyone in the Northeast area, don't forget this weekend is the annual punkin chunkin in Delware. We plan on being there on Sunday Nov. 4th. Anyone else going to Punkin Chunkin or in the area maybe we can get together for a visit.
My former landlady is asking for our help in finding her "nice people" to rent her RV space this winter or anytime. We spent 6 mos there and LOVED it. Sadly, we are no longer full-timers so we won't be going back. She has an RV space with full hookups, 50 amp electric (with it's own meter), water...

First of all we are wannabe's and have only rented class A and C' motor homes on several occasions but I feel compelled to share what I consider a necessity when traveling in any vehicle. I have used GPS navigation systems for about 9 years now and would not consider going on a trip more than 5...
I need some feedback on rear kitchen floorplans. Pros and cons. I've read that there is quite a bit of jostling going on back there, much like the back of a bus or airplane. I know things come loose, get broken, etc, but do things get broken more often back there or not? What about the appliances...t...
My heart goes out to everyone in, near or with family/friends in, near the wildfires in CA. The news is just staggering....the destruction & devastation is heartrending. One of the blogs I read is written by two camp hosts who are in the area. They are making preparations in case of evacuation. Th...
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good websites for used tow vehicles for fifth wheels? Thanks for any info. Rick and Debi Future Full Timers (2010)
Our son in law, a Navy Reserve Officer, has just been activated for deployment for a year to the war zone. He has two little boys, our grandsons, ages 3 1/2 and 5 months. Mommy, our daughter, is naturaly worried that the boys will miss their daddy terribly. We are stepping in to help out to cover the void, b...
Hello, I've been reading this formum for quite a while but haven't yet posted. I am not a full-timer, but rather an extended traveler. We travel about three to six weeks at a time two or three times a year. So many of our issues are the same as those of full-timers. I love to eat out but the budget require...
Ok, hubby and I have chosen South Dakota as our home state. We went and got our driver's license and set up a mail forwarding account. Next, I tried to get a sales tax license. I have an internet site and hope to sell some of my art work from time to time. I went to the Dept of Revenue and spoke directly with an a...
I am getting ready to purchase a sat internet dish. I was informed about maxwell satelite but in shopping around I found dustyfoot.com. Maxwell set up is $1550 after rebates and dusty foot is $1295. I can't figure out the difference. Do you have and advice in this matter. Thanks
We got an email the other day from a nice lady in Nova Scotia willing to be a local contact for our readers that may be visiting the area. If anyone would like her information, send me a private message or an email.
Howard sparked my interest when I read in the journal about a possible caravan to Alaska. That is a place I have always wanted to visit. I have heard that the road is very rough to get there and GC doesn't want to take our 5er over it and have to repair everything that breaks! Someday, I hope we can do an A...
How many of you use a toaster oven instead of a regular toaster that just handles bread and pastries? What kind do you use and why do you like it? A toaster oven seems to make more sense as it handles a variety of foods. Like warming a slice of my DW's home-made apple pie
Any owners of this coach out there? Our plans are changing from full-timing to part-timing and a 5er is out of the question. The Concord looks like a good fit for our purpose. Just wondering about pros and cons of this unit.
Thanks for any info.

For those of you who know me from the Chat Room, I just want to thank you all for the prayers and thoughts during my mother-in-law's illness.
