Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RVers Wanted To Help With North Dakota Lodge

Hi Everyone!  Here is an email we received recently.  If anyone is interested, please contact the owners through the website below. smile

Hello, Howard and Linda!

We met you in Santa Ana last February and have followed you since. We're from Seattle, but we were just in North Dakota and stayed at a place that might like to have resident RVers as part-time help. Here is the place:

Eagle Ridge Lodge - Medora, North Dakota

This couple (probably in their early 60s) built this lodge a few years ago for adult reunions, conferences, etc. [No children under the age of 8, I think.] I think there are about 10-12 rooms. Beautiful place!

It's a few miles outside Medora, which is the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park
. Their view is as good as that at the Painted Canyon, east of Medora .

We asked how they kept up the pace, and they admitted that they might like to have part-time help in the form of responsible RVers. They pictured 2-3 weeks, but it certainly could be longer. Here are the tasks they need help with and the amenities offered to the RVers.

================================================
Shady Location- beautiful, quiet and peaceful, wildlife right out the window
Electricity
Water
Sewer
Meal at time of work, e.g., morning, breakfast provided; evening, dinner provided

RVers would help with:
   room and bath cleaning
   occasional assistance with food prep
   some hostessing
   meal clean-up
   possible very light maintenance

About 3-4 hrs/day, part time help could be different from day to day.
Days and time off to fit Lodge schedule
2-3 weeks duration or how it may fit a willing RVer's needs
=========================================

We offered to help them, because 1) they're nice people and it's a beautiful place, and 2) we knew of your network of RVers. The RV setting is a short way from the lodge. High-speed internet is available at the lodge, I believe.
