Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Is this something everyone just gets or does it really work ? Our new home feels solid as a rock but all the other fulltimers in the park we are at have either a tripod or bipod setup on their kingpin. While we are on the subject, how about those wheel locks ? You know the ones that look like a automobile sc...
We have friends that are camp managers at Yellowstone and are putting out a HELP wanted to anyone that would like to workcamp between April and Oct. Any length of time is fine. Go to www.xanterra.com to find out what is open. Not just Yellowstone but other parks are in need of RV'ers willing to work.

Whereas you have a truck and a fifth wheel, do you tow the jeep or follow behind. I know it soulds like a dumb question but I have wittness people towing trailers with boats being towed behind the trailer. Buy the way, I am new to your site and I found it to be one of, if not the best so far. Keep up the good work....

We have two HDTV"S in our 5th wheel and I am able to get a stronger signal on the living room TV than the bedroom set. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this in their rig and whether it would be caused by the length of the cable from the booster to the TV, or the tuner in each se. Thanks, LIKENIT
I have been wondering if our Realtor was ever going to get a contract to us and get the For Sale sign out front! We started talking to her a month ago and it seemed nothing was getting done. So, GC took this morning off to talk to the people putting the foundation in and she brought the contract for us to sig...

First I would like to thank Howard and Linda for sharing their trip with us all. It is just wonderful that you take the time to post the journal entries so we can keep up. Second, I would like to thank whomever donated to help defray the cost of the internet access during the cruise. Never thought an intern...
Hi All - Just wanted to introduce myself before I jumped in and started trouble in the forum! Angie and I are fulltimers of almost one year! Our first ten months have been the most incredible adventure of our lives. We are looking forward to many more years of this. I work full time from the back of my Monac...
OK, we have the tri-pod, dish for tv/internet. Two coach batteries. If we hope to dry camp for 5 days at a time, what can we expect to be able to use.? Can we simply purchase an inverter to run the modem? The laptop of course can run on battery. I'm assuming we will not be able to run the tv though. ...
Hi... My husband and I are started the research into full timing. We missed the Hershey show this year - daughter's wedding, but would like to try to get to one sometime, somewhere. We are going to be in Tucson in March. Does anyone know of any rallies or rv shows near Tucson? thanks, Loralie
Howard, Your treatise on Social Security was great! Thank you. The maximum wages that are taxed for social security are something like $85k. If you earn $100k for a few years, is that counted into the total wages, or do they cap it at $85k each year for the sake of the calculation. Thank you!
This is a brand new website and the owner has given permission to tell the world. This is unique in that it's a visual view from a remote control helicopter of campsites in the US. Please enjoy. There are more campgrounds posted as the owner travels. www.campersview.com

Ok, I don't post a lot, but I'm in the cleaning up and selling portion of our "getting ready" to fulltime. I just found several board games. I can sell, donate or take them with us. Now, if I take them with us, do people still play board games, like monopoly, Trivia, Yatzee, backgammon...

What else have I not mentioned?

After reading numerous posts on numerous forums, I bought a Food Saver at Costco yesterday. I haven't opened the box yet. I guess I'm still trying to justify purchasing it. I've gotten along just fine with ziploc bags all these years and probably could continue to do so. The only purchas...
