Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Daddy deployed, fun RV things to do with the grandkids?

Our son in law, a Navy Reserve Officer, has just been activated for deployment for a year to the war zone. He has two little boys, our grandsons, ages 3 1/2 and 5 months. Mommy, our daughter, is naturaly worried that the boys will miss their daddy terribly. We are stepping in to help out to cover the void, but we know we can never take his place. They live in another state about 5-56 hours from us.

We want to plan as many RV trips as we can to let the boys have fun and give mommy a break. We are going to take them to Disney World (Ft. Wilderness) in January. We are planning to attnd the RV.Dreams rally in Brandson, are there kid friendly things in Branson the boys could do there while grandpa is attending seminars?

I'd appreciate any ideas of other RV age appropriate things to do with the boys over the next year, and also any ideas to help them and their mom deal with being both parents for the next year.

Thanks!

In my opinion, Branson is a place for all ages.  I think you will find fun things for them to do as well as fun things for you to do.  Silver Dollar City has a kids area with rides for small ages and a water area for them to play in.  There's also "Ride the Ducks" which is a tour of Branson on a boat on wheels that actually goes into the water.  There are lots of amusement type places along the strip.
