Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Only about a month and a half to go

This is happening so fast, but we are almost on our way. We sold our house (in Hawaii) a few months ago and are in the process of getting ready to hit the road. We bought a pickup and a small 5th wheel and should be on the road by early March. It's a crazy mess right now, but is starting to fall into place. we bought our truck in New Hampshire while we are here in Maine housesitting for my son who is in the Coast Guard and on patrol for a few months. We are trying to register it in South Carolina where our other house is that my mom lives in. We have to do everything by mail and it is taking forever. At Christmas we went to my brother's in Texas and while we were there we got a great deal on a small 5th wheel which we now have to also register (and go and pickup). Not to mention my truck is not setup to tow a 5th wheel and is a short bed. I am waiting for my Reese sidewinder to replace the kingpin on the 5th wheel when we finally get to TX to get the RV. After that, we have to go to Colorado to our other son's house to pickup the stuff for our RV that we sent from Hawaii. Then we can hit the road. We are probably going to head to New Mexico, Arizona and end up in Rosamond CA to visit our friends who just retired and may join us for a bit. Sorry for the long ramble, but we are excited to finally be headed on our way. Any recommendations for NM or AZ would be appreciated.

Lots of traveling. Stay safe. Have you been to Rosamond previously? You may be disappointed.

Yes, we were stationed at Edwards AFB for a few years.
