Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
It was a pretty good success! We sold about 1/3 of the small stuff, about 1/2 of the furniture, and had several lookie-loos "looking" at the house. We sold enough that we are now "Fulltime" in the 5'er! Placing ads on craigslist tonight, maybe we can unload more furniture. As s...

We could use some help. We have a small leak on the water heater where the line goes in underneath the sink. My hubby can barely get his shoulders inside of the underneath of the kitchen sink and then it's still a long reach through duct work to reach the plastic fitting that is leaking. The back side of...
Been moving steadily closer to a decision on a WiFi booster for our 5ver, and am very intrigued by the WiFiRanger Sky. But, am having more than a little difficulty in finding a price for the darn thing. The WiFi Ranger site says it's sold exclusively by the Mito store, yet when I click on the link, I find fu...

Have any of you noticed the pumps at the gas stations seem to run at a slower speed ? I noticed this about 2 years ago when the gas prices approached $5.00 per gallon it seemed like the stations had turned down the speed on the pumps. Are they trying to convince us we were getting more for our money ? Just...

Any recommendations? Our fridge quit working while Dale was bringing our DRV Mobile Suites home. He wasn't real happy to not be able to keep his Braum's ice cream frozen I know a couple of places to avoid, looking for recommendations on a good shop. We were thinking about Camping World in Tacoma but h...
Looking for observations/pros/cons for putting air springs on our new F450 DRW tow vehicle. New Horizons will be installing a TrailerSaver hitch when we pickup and I have some discussion about improving the ride. I wanted to see whether these were a must have, nice to have, or don't bother item (or ma...

I have used hundreds of campgrounds over the years. I had an experience recently that made for "the last straw." Went to a CG, registered, and then drove to my assigned site. It was too small and not level. I had to manuver the MH back to the office (it was a very long walk) to get a site that w...

I grew up in Temple, TX and my wife Deb grew up in Scottsdale, AZ. The Air Force took me to AZ and that's how I met Deb. We have spent most of our lives in Arizona, but we now live in Sun City Texas. We have always loved camping, hiking, site seeing, traveling, and just being outdoors as long is its toget...
Greetings everyone... Recently some friends of ours decided to sell their RV after just 5 months of trying out full timing. They simply found that their reality didn't mesh with the expectations they had of the lifestyle. With their permission, we used their experience as talking points in a video...
Having never been on I 8 I wanted to have someone tell me about the passes there. I have the Mountain Directory that describes the grades etc. Are the passes there as bad as the book says. I read about all these passes going into California and wonder if I should even attempt them. Not too worried about the...
My name is Harry and my wonderful wife is Cathy. Last July I purchased a used MH, a very old Eldorado Eldorado, 1987. Why, I am not sure. What I liked was the low miles on the Chevy 454 with no oil leaks, it's all fiberglass shell, including roof, and low cost. We put about $2500 into the RV with a new floor (su...
While talking with a financial advisor last summer. The question was asked, "What does retirement look like for you?" My first thought was I don't know. I had assumed I would work up until the end due to have my daughter late in life at 42. So after spending the night thinking it over. I thoug...

We are in a campground in Central Indiana and have had a lot of rain. The campground is next to a creek but has a huge levy that seperates the water from the campers. This morning the levy was breached and flooded the campground. The water came up so fast we could not get out in time. Luckily this campground...
We pick up our 5th Wheel on Wednesday and will begin preparing for the road. I've read many posts about basement packing but not as much about the interior. We have a 2013 Keystone Cougar. All of the interior storage compartments have tight clasps and would appear to remain shut during travel as doe...
It's spring clean up time for the yard, so happy to know this is the last time I have to trim the ivy away from the waterfall in our back yard, the last time to clean the deck, power wash the patio, kill the moss in our yard. I am so NOT going to miss this part of home ownership. Amazing how our perspective has...
