Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

aksing for fave campgrounds

Hey,

I'm curious as if the experienced  RVers have any favorite or reccommended rv parks, places to go in UT, NM, OR,ID or WA.  those are mostly the places we want to hit, so any experiences or stories would be welcome!

I've been to all of those states, but if I had to choose to pick one, I'd go with UT.  Not because of any particular CGs, but because there is so much to see with respect to the Nat'l Park system.

OK, this is a hard one to answer, there are so many great places in WA/OR/ID, IMO!!

These are some of our favorites:

WA - Coast, Klaloch campground within the Olympic National park is fantastic!! No hookups but the view is tremendous
WA - Mountains - Mt Rainier - White River campground, not sure how big your rig is, we last camped there when we still had our 18 ft TT, anything too much bigger might be problematic, Ohanpecosh is another good choice in Mt. Rainier and more likely to accomodate larger RV's
WA - Dungeness County Park
WA - Eastern WA - Upriver State Park near Spokane and Hood Park (Army Corps of Engineers) near Pasco WA
ID - Red Fish lake in the Sawtooth Mountains
ID - Hell's Gate state park near Lewiston
ID - Heyburn State Park on Lake Coeur d'Alene
OR - NW - Fort Stevens State Park
OR - south - Valley of the Rogue State Park
OR Coast - we haven't yet found a state park on their coast that we didn't like!

Not as familiar with Utah, but there are 2 state parks we've enjoyed.
UT - just stayed at Utah Lake State Park near Provo (picture in my signature), liked it but was staying there before the bug season gets really bad.
UT - Willard Bay State Park
