Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We just purchased a very nice 2003 Fun Finder M-189, its 19' and I (Susan) plan to tow with my Honda Ridgeline. I am retired, Dave still working. My youngest son is blind living at home. We have been planning adventures for years now. Needed to find the right lite trailer. Thank you very much for this foru...
Like Howard, we tested the Truma AquaGo Comfort instant hot water heater. We installed it in our 2015 New Horizons coach a little over two months ago. The bottom line is that I recommend this system. You can read the full test report HERE.
We've pretty much decided to use Wells Fargo as our banking institution. I already have an investment account with them, they have many branches and the services they offer seem to work for us. But then, all the large banks will work, but Wells has a branch local to us, I like the amounts required to waiv...
We are traveling in to Canada later this year. What are people doing for cellular voice and data? We plan to be in country for 3 weeks so going without connectivity is not an option. ATT is our service provider in the states
Lately, I've been towing our 5th wheel by myself and having to rely on random help to spot me backing into camping spots. My kids are no help at ages 5 and 1, lol. I was wondering if any of you had installed a backup camera on a 5th wheel and if so, what brand and model device do you prefer? I like the idea of moun...
Just FYI regarding domicile/residency and exiting. When we went full time 1 15 months ago it was simple to change our mailing address online at USPS.com. As we are exiting, I attempted to change our address back but because we were using a "commercial mailing service" I was unable to do it o...
This is my first year starting out. My first trip with my 26 ft Texan will be in July down to Braunig lake I'm going to try and do at least a week a month until the end no of the year. This is to get my feet wet. After that it's open season on RVing lol
We are looking at BBQ grills. Okay, yeah we are still in S&B but we are thinking of what might be suitable for our future home on wheels that can make the transition. It should be compact and reasonably versatile. We have, so far only looked at the Coleman "Road Trip" grills. I think the...
My husband Pat and I will be joining all you full-timers in the fall of 2017, at least that is the plan, Lord willin' and the creek don't rise! We pull a 38' 2015 Tesla Toy Hauler with a 2011 Ram, our Harley Davidson in the garage, 2 German Shepherds, Story and Tru, plus a 6 pound Yorkie named Neuma. Should b...
Back in the Seattle are, so happy to be in a totally different state of mind as we go into this weekend's art show. 3 years ago the house was under contract, we had just moved the RV back onto our driveway from our very kind neighbor who let us park in his empty lot while the house was on the market, the storag...
As everyone knows Lifestyle and Evergreen have closed there doors which leaves many of us with factory warranty time that is at best questionable until perhaps a rights buyout or some other takeover of the brand. Well I want to share a good news story from a dealership in Edmonton Alberta, Canada that...
Recently we were in a COE campground that had NO cell service, even though we were only a few miles from town. My iPhone 5s was able to see a signal once in a great while, so I'm thinking that if I had an antenna up in the air a bit I might have been able to get a signal. We're full-timers and depend on our Verizon...

It seems like there are three styles of refrigerators available on 5th wheels; 2 door units, side-by-side units, and 4 door units. The 4 door units seem more suitable for full time living, while the 2 door units seem more suitable for weekenders. For you fulltimers with 5th wheels, what size refrige...
We already have the house up for sale, but I just sold my first household item by advertising on a local swap/buy FB page. Whoo-hooo! $25 toward the RV fund! (Hey it's a start). It is a small step, but it feels so good to make that step! What have you sold to make your dreams come true?
Well since there has been so much talk about the quality assurance of power to the coach, do any of you run a HUGHES AUTOFORMER? http://www.autoformersdirect.com/ It's getting to the point that one has to be a power-line contractor.
Hello new to the sight and just started full time rving in eastern Colorado. Been at it for a month now due to some family issues and some problems of my own. I have a 2010 rockwood ultra lite 30' trailer, bumper pull. Its like brand new as it has sat for a few years but got a good deal on it. Everything works m...
As many of you know, we are planning on going FT when we retire in about 3 years. Almost 2 years ago we bought a 6.4l 08 F-250 to pull a TT that we planned to purchase when the time comes. However we just had a little setback. When on vacation last month, camping in the Smokies with our little Aliner, we wer...

Hi all, I'm new to towing, and a bit scared. Are there any accessories that will make hitching easier? Are there any that prevent fish tailing? Basically, I'm looking for things that will make towing safer. Thanks, Margaret
Hi everyone! I'm a first time RVer preparing to jump into full time boondocker! I'm scared as all hell! It's time for me to leave California, with the economy and politics as they are, and with most of my friends having moved away to various places over the years, the best thing I can think of is "living t...

Thanks,...

Hi, My name is Matt. Just came across this forum; looks great! I was in a car accident a few months ago and lost my job. I couldn't renew the apartment lease without a job so I decided to travel for a few months. I'm currently in Colorado and headed towards Montana to see my brother. I've notice over the pas...
My wife and I are hoping to be on the road in the next 12 months. But life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. Our initial plan was to go full time for a year and then at the end of that time, examine our experiences and thoughts to decide where to go from there. We have also considered a new sticks and b...
Hello All I'm new to RVing, as my first unit we bought a 2010 Puma 24.5 5th wheel late last year. It's in good shape, not used very often from what we could see. Our plan is to travel quite a bit once I'm retired in 5+ years, we'll see. I bought a 2010 Chevy Max to tow it and so far so good. I look forward to readi...
Hi All My DM2652 fridge stopped working in electric , works fine in gas. I watched the video on the element change because I thought that would have been the problem, not the case. I downloaded the diagnostic service manual and did a few electric checks,as follows: 1. checked 120V AC in 2. I hear my rel...
