Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have a 37 ft class A Motor home and want to invest in either a Sway-Bar or Steering stabilizer. They both have their advantages and they seem to claim to do the same things. I need to invest in one of them for my coach to make it much safer on the road and easier to drive. I do want to stop the rocking motion...
I am looking at putting these shocks on my 2002 Pace Arrow 37 ft Motorhome (F53 Chassis). I have read quite a bit about them and they are suppose to really improve, sway, drift, bumps and overall steering and chassis stability. I was going to go with a Stabilizer bar but was advised by two dealers that I...
Any thoughts on Outdoors rv mfg trailers? We will have take some time off and travel a piece to check them out, have not seen one in Texas anywhere. Thanks in advance.
We saw this unit at the Spring RV Dreams rally and fell in love....and we bought it. A few days ago we picked up our new Landmark Key West from RVs for Less in TN and brought it home. We hope to go full time in the fall of 2017. We have lots to do to downsize after spending 26 years in our current home. In...
We have found our winter Florida home in Mt Olive Shores North! With this purchase, we are have no experience in how to rent this space when we are not using it. I would welcome any comments on all y'alls experience pros & cons. No information will be too little for us! Thanks!
About four years ago, I joined this group. At the time, I was early-retired (53) and anxious for my husband to join me so we could sell everything and start full-timing. Then our world changed and (long story) - a few years ago we added three sisters (then 4,6 & 8) to our family that already included f...
I have accepted a several month assignment iN Nogales, AZ and am looking for a nice RV site to be based out of starting in August. The budget is open within reason as the company offered to rent us a furnished apartment or home in lieu of staying in our RV home. We are looking for a place within 30 minutes o...
Cabela's is pretty well known to be RV friendly for overnight stops (city ordinance dependent), but for the past 3 years, their locations and our travel schedules just haven't aligned. This past weekend the one in Lacey WA fit very well into our options and after looking at traffic through Tacoma / S...

Greetings group. Retired for 1 year. Pulled a bumper pull for 2 years in another time and galaxy. Currently pulling a 5th wheel. Simply love it. Traveling is contained to 3-5 day trips in that wife unit is still working. Love to read, play some music (didn't say I was Nashville level), no horse but still...
Living in a senior living Co-OP for 3 years, after deciding to downsize from a home we lived in for 28 years was hard to do. But living with neighbors that drive you nuts got us to thinking that we didn't want to spend our retirement years wilting away in our recliners being miserable. So after much discus...

We are thinking of having 3 one month stops. So far we are having a VRey hard time picking places. Does anybody have any suggestion. We have a 4...
Planning on picking up my better half in Idaho falls, Id around the 3rd week of June for 3 weeks of travel. Want to spend time around Yellowstone (week to 10 days). Afterwards head toward Glacier NP for a week to 10 days. Questions are can this be done without making reservations or would it be a bust? Anot...
We ended last summer in North ID with the almost constant smell of smoke, occasional ash and gray skies. Starting this summer in Central OR and due to a storm that passed through yesterday we are once again seeing the smoke plume and thanks to a change in wind direction, really smelling the smoke today...
Some time ago, my mico/conv oven started to sweat. Now we have to leave the door open to get rid of the extra moisture. It used to work just fine. Can anyone tell me why it would sweat and what to do about it. Thanks.
After ordering a cellular signal booster, I downloaded the manual for it and started reading. That's when I learned about registering the booster with my carrier. I followed the link in the PDF manual to the specific Verizon web page and read that Verizon "would like" (same language used in the manua...
Hey all, as the title suggest, the wife and I are preparing for retirement. Ran across this site while searching for information, looks like this is just were I need to be. We are seriously looking into full timing. I'm in the "getting smart" phase of this adventure now. We have a 2011, F 250, 6.7L, 4...
I just went through and deleted most of my posts and comments, the ones pertaining to gate guarding companies. After working with 3 different companies since June, we have a pretty good idea of what WE want from a company and the money is not everything. We choose to supplement our income so we don't hav...
My name is Valerie - I used Yoma as a sign in name - that's what my grandchildren call me. I'm a lifelong camper (tents, tent trailer, Class A in the 90's) and nature lover. I love to bicycle and swim, too. Happiest when I'm immersed in nature and sharing time with good friends and family. In the next six m...
Need some advice on where to start to troubleshoot this issue. It's 90 degrees in Denver & our living room air conditioner won't come on. The bedroom AC is working. They were both working fine yesterday. Nothing smells like it's burning.Wondering if the air conditioner itself is the problem or...
Well it is official, we will be full time RVers quicker than expected. Technically I guess we are returning to full time RVing as that is how we lived for several years when we first were together so we could save and build the American dream of a "regular home" out in the country. Well, after 20 years an...
Hello! New here, don't even have our RV yet, still in the research stage but we have stated that we have a 5-6 year plan. We should have our RV by then that we will use on weekends and holidays until such a time as we are able to go full time. The 5-6 year plan is in place due to our daughter being in college an...
Hey guys! We did it! We have bought a 2002 Newmar Duchstar DP!! We are so excited! Can't wait to see you all on the road! And the next Rally we'll be in our own Rig!
So we are finally going to do it! We have dreamed of full time RVing for years. We have upgraded our RV every few years and our trucks, expecting that by the time we retire we will have what we want to travel in full time. But last year we had a surprise child and with the added burden of expense and mortgag...

So my wife and I are in the process of testing the waters of fulltiming. We're about a year away. We are particularly interested in the small class a diesels - newmar ventana, nexus bentley among others. The only time we used an RV was over 20 years ago. It was a Class C Honey. We are hoping to rent a sma...
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that like us, you too have made the decision recently that you’d like to get into the RV lifestyle, part time or maybe even full time, and have begun your pursuit of that goal. I imagine you’re here hoping to learn enough to keep your misteps to a minimum. D...
We've been talking about full timing for a while now and have finally realized that time flies by! We have a target retirement date of December 2018.....or maybe earlier. We know we want to sell the house and everything in it. Well, we will need some clothes, dishes, food, and the fur babies. We have beg...
We have lights over our island with little cone shaped globes on them…the globes go up over the ceramic portion of the fixture and there's a nut that goes on to hold the globe on. Over time…the metal in the nuts has stretched…since the lights are hot…and I'm having a dickens of a time trying to find replac...
