Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
There have been numerous threads here about exit plans so I figured I would pass along our decision on our exit plans. The past couple of travel seasons have been way harder on us than the previous 6…so when we got here to North Fort Myers on 11/1 Connie essentially said "I'm done.". So we're going to buy a...
I've noticed that many people here have fifth wheels RVs, some other's a class A and a few have a class C. I was just wondering what the decision process was that made you purchase your particular style of RV. I'm well aware that I need to purchase what suits me best but I'm also interested in the pluses a...
I remember when I first joined this group! It sure was more of a close knit community of RVer"s!
Sorry to say but it has become like the other RV Websites! I know things change, but I've found it one of the many reasons other than I am a stationary RVer since health problems and finances have changed to!

When I begin to realize I won't be with my family and grandkids next year for the holidays I get a little teary eyed and start thinking what am I doing? Any hints, suggestions to help me? We leave in Sept 2020 and will be snowbirds out west until April.
Hello! Been looking forward to retirement forever! The date is set and end of September we leave Ohio and head North first to the Big E then out West to Arizona for the winter months. Bought a new 2020 Georgetown GT5 34H5 in September, had her out a few times and currently she's hibernating undergro...
I've been planning to go FT quite a while and I'll be starting on Dec 29. I'm single and won't have someone else to drive an extra vehicle, etc. How I got to this point: I have a Can-Am Spyder which must travel with me. I like to attend Spyder rallies in various parts of the country. It's fun and good fello...

We're a family of four from Oklahoma City with a newly acquired new to us '13 Keystone Cougar. While we've made this purchase rather late in the year, we're working on learning just eno...
Good morning All,I am currently located in Silver Springs FL. I am looking for a referral to a reputable shop in my area to have some slide room adjustments done on my fifth wheel. As we all know finding someone who actually knows what their doing is very difficult so if you know of someone or know of a refe...

A friend ended up with a new fiberglass end cap and a nine foot white ladder for a 2008 Sunnybrook Bristol Bay fifth wheel trailer. He took delivery and then decided not to use them. They are still in the shipping crate and plastic wrap. There are several models that they may fit. He asked me to help him cle...
If you happened to catch my other post, you know we've had some electrical problems over the last 24 hours. My husband has managed to get almost everything working again EXCEPT for the microwave. There IS power to the outlet for the microwave, but the microwave will not power up. We're thinking maybe...
Yesterday, there was a problem with the power pole at our campsite. It fried itself & the maintenance guy had to install a new outlet. So we now have power again, but not all of our outlets are working. The microwave won't come on & none of the outlets in the bedroom work. We have a GFCI in the pane...
Starting to look at our plans for 2020 travel season. Think we will explore the Carolin’s and Eastern Virginia area.We like to spend 1-2 weeks at each stop and never like to travel more than 200 miles at a time. Any suggestions would be welcome. We travel in a 43’ 5th wheel so parks need to be big rig friend...
Hello from a "new" RV owner. Came off a 5th wheel to a Class-C Nexus Phantom 28P (no slides). Have some question on this unit which hopefully some other owners here can enlighten me. Basically, 3 questions right now, but maybe more later. They are: o Where is the water pump located and how to access it? I...

We have a frayed cable on our bedroom slide and we cannot pull the slide out because we are afraid it will break and won’t go back in. It looks like the cable has rubbed against the metal hole and over time, the cable has frayed. We are in Arizona for the winter, currently in Tucson and then on to the Phoeni...
I was on my travel trailer roof and noticed the seals around the roof vents, antenna etc. were getting cracks and showing voids. From my research is seems that conventional wisdom suggests it is okay to apply new self-leveling Dicor lap sealant directly over the existing lap sealant; at least for t...
We have a F350 that we purchased this year to tow our new 5th Wheel. We paid to have a truck bed camera installed and were given a refund because of technical issues with the install and the camera. Ford does not have the camera available yet. Does anyone have a recommendation for a truck bed camera we c...
Hello, My tag name is Scotsman and, yes, I'm from Scotland, but that was a long time ago. I live in Jackson, Wyoming. My wife and I are relatively new owners of a small (13ft) off-road trailerable camper. We like to live off the grid with it for three weeks at a time - mostly in the desert SW, but expanding to...
