Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I'm curious to know if there is a better part of the country to buy a used RV. Are they generally cheaper in the southeast, for example, than in the northeast? How about the Southwest, or California? I know it is a question that can't be answered definitively, but I'm wondering if I can most likely get...
Does anyone know anything about Fleetwood products? We are currently considering trading for a 2006 Fleetwood Prowler Regal AX6 (new) with a rear living setup. It has a large frig and an electric fireplace. This layout will be great for us since our kids now rarely go with us. The down side is that our c...
I started a blog about 3 months ago but do not post everyday. I'm not sure what to write about. I seem to ramble on when I start posting and am afraid that it will end up being really boring. I usually try to post once a week but haven't been very good at that even. Our life right now is not real exciting with wor...
I finally decided to take the plunge. I have been a lurker on this forum for LONG time. What made me decide to finally become a member? It is the great attitudes expressed, the excitment for RVing, and the willingness to help others. We would like to be a part of this group. My husband and I plan to begin ou...

We would like to have a class a or c toy hauler that can be set up for long term boondocking. We are amature gold panners so a toy hauler will come in han...

We will be able to carry 2200 pounds of stuff. Does that sound adequate to you who have been out there a long time? -- Edited by foxriverguy at 20:39, 2008-08-03
So glad I found this group! I have been reading the original '05 pages and they have helped me and my yo-yo-ing emotions sooo much! Thanks, Howard and Linda! I was widowed in Feb last year after ten very happy years being married to and traveling part-time with the most wonderful man. We met in Loners on W...
Thanks for the friendly welcome!!! The chat room sounds great. Where do we find it and when is it open? We are so new to forums and chat rooms that even the basic things are new to us. Hey, it will get us out of our comfort zone! That is our philosophy now. Do something different! We think preparing fo...
My Wife (Sharon) and I have owned several RV's during our working years, and now we are currently seeking full time rving. We have searched the web for information to help in this effort, and this site was highly recommended. We have a 2002 Pace Arrow with 2 slides & a towable Isuzu Amigo. W...
This is Saturday morning August 2. Hopefully, the message will not be needed much past this morning, but I wanted to pass along a note about a problem with blogs on Blogspot.com who have a link to Sitemeter. Apparently, sitemeter is down, and those blogs that are linked to that site are giving an error...
Please pardon the newness of the questioner with this question. I have looked and looked and even used the search feature to no avail. I have noticed that under the avatars on the left side of each posting, it refers to that particular poster as a "community" member or a "family"...
My wife and I are in the process of getting the house ready for the market. I sure wish I would have done this 3 years ago. But anyway, we are selling the B&S house and are going to get a 5th wheel and start really living. I am still have about 10 years to retirement, but really only have to work half the...
I'm just curious to know if there are any full timers who live in a Class B. In my never-ending search of web sites I've seen a couple of them that seem to be pretty roomy, the Safari Damara B+, for one, which has an actual bed rather than over the cab or fold out. I can see that it might get cramped if you are i...
Since I have 3 children and can't imagine living in an RV with them full-time, I'm curious if there are families out there who are full-timing with children. What are the biggest trials to living in a small space and being on the road most days? How long are you driving at a time? (A few hours, a few days?...
As you've heard or will hear on the news there was an 5.4 earthquake centered about 23 miles east of Los Angeles in the town where the Alfa RV factory was located, Chino. Thought I would share the experience of riding out a 5.4 earthquake for those of you who have never had the privilege to do so. Imagine si...
We have been on the road since November 2006 and have enjoyed every second of it! (Well maybe not the seconds that we spent having the brakes repaired ) Albasini RV Adventure Thanks Howard for making this forum available. I just love reading everone's journals, especially about all the si...

I stumbed upon this terrific web search engine just the other day. It is called oodle. Just Google oodle. I came across in my daily hunt for the perfect motorhome and then I discovered that the site also lists homes for sale. You can list your home and four photos for FREE. ZIP. NADA. Hope this helps...
So we went to camping world the other day on our way to Maine to pick up a couple items. As I was looking at the bottle of toilet chemicals that we normally get I noticed that they had a warning that says something like California has determined that it causes cancer. Anyway, I immediately put the bottl...
I remember back in the 70's and 80's on at least one of the lakes fed by the Colorado River (maybe lake Powell) there was a company that had these flat pontoon boats that you would drive or back your RV onto. The pontoon boats had outboard engines with a control center where you would sit to pilot the boat...
I'm in the process of cleaning my house up to put it on the market the 1st wk in August, and I just can't imagine what I will do when I need to select what I will take into an RV. All of you parents & grandparents, what do you do with your children's wedding albums, or all those gorgeous grandchild photos...
Could someone tell me where to look for the information regarding Howard and Linda's solar upgrades? I have looked all over and cannot find it. I know Howard posted it somewhere on his website but haven't found it. Thanks so much for your help. Mike and Gerri
We realize that many of you live in areas where a Tornado is expected, but here in New Hampshire it is not something we are use to believe me, and we had one here and it was scary. Here on the seacoast we only had a warning and the blackest sky we ever saw...then wind and buckets of rain. However west of her...
Okay, I am still learning but have finally started a blog. (with the help of the chatters). I won't be posting every day but will try to keep up with it. Just want everyone to know how much I enjoy reading yours. Boy, they are addicting. So much fun to follow our new "family". roamingwhenwec...
I have been using smugmug and blogger to post daily blogs. While smugmug seems to let me copy links for insertion into blogger, I can't figure out how to actually copy a picture from smugmug to insert in blogger. Alternatively I can insert pictures directly into blogger from my computer via the "...
