Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Glass: It's been my experience that some converters believe the rubber around the windshield and side windows is a complete seal in itself--that if a glass is removed and replaced it won't leak. That is NOT true. Butyl sealer is required between the glass and the rubber gasket. It must be pumped i...
WE ordered it April 11 and it was delivered to the dealer in Elkhart, In yesterday. We will be driving up from Texas to In in the next two weeks to pick it up.
We have 4 marine/RV 12V house batteries that are about 3 years old. After some extensive load testing they seem to have reduced capacity by about 15% or so. The have been well cared for, not discharged below 55%, and kept charged when not in use. How long should they last? What is your experience? ...
We just had some very bad news. Some very good RVing friends of ours were on their way from Florida to North Carolina. They stopped in Atlanta to see some family and friends, and sometime Tuesday, while they were driving their toad, a vehicle being driven by a drunk driver crossed into their lane and hit...
Yes, I too am addicted to the blogs and therefore I am entering my own rendition of a blog. I am just hoping that I don't bore anyone to death!! http://www.rvdaydreams.blogspot.com
We are hoping to be fulltiming soon. We have been looking at MH's for awhile and are wondering which ones are best for fulltiming. We are currently leaning toward the Allegro Bay.

. I'm a retired lady living in East Tennessee. I thought it would be a good idea to start doing some camping out again in order to meet more people like myself. I would like to find a Classic Airstream trailer with slide or without slide. Front sofa lounge, rear twin beds would be nice, but a...
Well, it finally happened. I have secured my first real workamping job. I was considered a workamper when I became an independent rep for SkyMed but that is something I can do anytime, anywhere. Anyway, I will be spending the summer in White Sulfur Springs, MT (about halfway between Yellowstone &...
I just want to say thanks and how much I like this forum. I'm in the beginning stages of researching RV living, and I have signed on to several different forums. RV-Dreams Community Forum is by far the best and easiest to use of them all, in my opinion, especially when it comes to responding to a post, as...
Linda Thanks for the quick arrival of the cookbook. It arrived in Pa. in about a week. I got it for my wife as a little surprise. She has had a great time looking through it. It is amazing that the same dishes can be call by different names in various parts of the country. We are going to a 4th of July party an...
Linda, I meant to ask you at the rally how you are liking your Brita Filter? Are you using it instead of bottled water now?? I have been thinking of buying one. Arlene
Does anyone have a recommendation on where to camp near Mt. Rainier National Park? We have a 40 ft. motorhome and tow a Jeep. From what I can discern, all campgrounds inside the National Park have a 35 ft. max. limit. Any suggestions from the forum would be appreciated. Thank You.
Hi Everyone, I have to say that I am completely addicted to reading everyone's travel journal. Mike and I have been having a discussion about using cruise control. These may be stupid questions, but maybe all of you can tell us what you do when towing! Do any of you use your cruise control, on flat roads, hills, or mountains ? Do you save or waste more fuel when you use it ? Does it put more strain on th...
We all have lots of fun on this forum and I have a request that I think will be intersting to look back on. Please take a moment and let us know what you think will happen in these areas: Cost of gas and diesel on June 30, 2009. I predict $4.99/$5/55 How many RV/motor home manufacturers will close down. I will...
Here is my problem. My wfe and I share a printer on a network. When we go to print we get this message: The local print spooler swervice is not running. Please re-start the spooler or restart the machine. I have done all of that and a lot more and can not fix the problem. We are running Vista Home Premium. I...
Hello all! My name is Michael and I soon hope to start fulltiming. I have spent a lot of time in the RV over the last two years dry camping out at Lake Pleasant, or on BLM land down in Quartsite. Sometimes just getting in the RV and heading around the corner too get away from the house. I will be traveling with...
Howard, do you have a annual pass to the state parks that you & Linda stay in? The camping fees of some of them seem very reasonable, compared to the one Don & I stayed in on our way to the rally, which was $32.00.
I haven't seen anything on this forum, but the recall on Dometic refrigerators has been expanded to include units manufactured between June 2003 and September 2006. Here is the link concerning the recall: http://www2.dometicusa.com/recall.php. We have a 2006 Mobile Suite 36TK3 and found tha...

I have been writing my blog since January, and it is at Blogspot . com, and I will try to attempt to put the addy in here. Please let me know if it doesn't work or go ahead and fix it if I make a mistake. Which I'm likely to do as I'm not real computer savy. http://sassysschoonersaga@blogspot.com Hope y...
Now that the RV-Dreams rally is over (sniff, sniff....sure wish I could have made it), I'd like to see if anyone else is planning to do the Gypsy Journal Rally in Casa Grande, AZ next Feb 9-13. Here are my blog entries for my first time there this past winter: Casa Grande, AZ & the Gypsy Journal Rally M...
Hi Howard; I have noticed that you have an inflatable boat. Sea-Eagle is a pretty notable brand. Have you or any of your readers had an inflatable that failed(received a puncture,or other problems)?
