Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I don't remember just where I saw it, but the article I read said that most Full-timers carry around 3000 lbs.
I know we carry about 3500 lbs, but have found out that the more CCC that you have, the more you will carry.
I hope this helps. To me 22oo lbs would not be enough. We seem to need more than that.
Jim

We have 3 axels and can carry 3500 lbs...but there is no way I will carry that much. we are at 2300 lbs now and I think I will lesson that load...I like traveling light. We plan on going up in altitude this summer to get cool so I want less load to tow. Believe me we full time and 2300 lbs is alot of S T U F F.
It seems to add up quickly. After 2 1/2 years we're carrying slightly over 3300 pounds. Probably could shed 4-500# if we could find the time to work on it, but we're having too much fun traveling around to stop and work on it. Fred
It all depends on what rig you have. I spent a winter online checking 5th wheel websites to see what 5er would be the best for us. Some of them did not have the CCC needed to FT. I can't remember which one it was but we would have had to throw out half of what we carry with us as it did not even have 2000# CCC. Do not overload your RV. Some do and may regret it some day. OMG, I am starting to sound like the weight police !!! Bob
