Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi All!!! We're new to this forum. Found it a few days ago. Been obsessed with it. Lurking a bit and replying to a few topics. Figured it was time to introduce ourselves. We are a family of 5. I'm Kara and my husband is Jason. Kids are Kaleb-10, Anika-7 and Avery-3. We live in Bend, Oregon. My husband was working in a cabinet shop designing. He got laid off in May due to lack of work. The whole town is experiencing this and businesses are closing left and right. The restaurant I was working at P/T shut last month. We've been job searching and there just isn't anything out there right now. So we've decided to leave. We figure now is the time to pack up, take the kids on the road, experience life and see if we are to be somewhere else. This is completely new to us and we're just trusting that everything will work out. We're shopping for a RV and cross your fingers that we find one soon because we need to be out of the house July 11. We have work up in Anacortes,WA for 7 weeks and then we'll hit the road and explore. We hope to find odd jobs here and there to keep us going. We're all excited to this and think it will turn into long term after we figure it all out. It's nice to meet you all. From the lurking I've been doing you've all been a big help so far. Here's to new friendships........
Welcome to the forum. If you can't find the answers to any questions that you may have about RVing, be sure to ask. Lots of friendly folks here that are more than willing to help.
Jim
