Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Ok, we are not fulltiming yet and don't even take our dogs in the RV on trips...they are old and I have a neighbor who takes care of them when we do go on a trip. Since so many on this forum have animals I have a question for you. My 15 year old Yorkie is partially blind, has a hard time getting around....sleeps...
I know many of you have been to the Grand Canyon. We are trying to plan a family trip there this year. I would appreciate suggestions for time to go, where to stay, and attractions to see. Thank you, Rose & Mike
I am new to the board so heregoes. I am a 42 yo widowed mom of 2 beautiful young women ages 19 and 21 who are both in college, one for neurosurgery and one for art/animation for Disney. I started full-timing in 09 with the love of my life, my husband of 22 years and he became too ill to continue some 3 months lat...
I had posted here (and on other sites) our problem with Scott Motorcoach back in NJ. They did repairs on our rig last summer and changed out our steps for no reason. The damage was done to the back wall. When asked why they changed steps, they first said done by mistake. After taking the rig (our mistak...
We live in Washington state. We have had a couple of dry days so we washed our RV. We also pulled our awning out and washed it really well. It wasn't supposed to rain for at least one more day so we thought we would have time for it to dry out before we rolled it back up. However, it is pouring today and supp...
Burnt out of corporate 'success' (it did give me freedom to choose a different path) but got fired (major oops, I thought I pressed the private button, not) and am interested in giving the RV Lifestyle a whir. I'll be 47 in March, and I just don't want to put the silly-suit on for another 10+ years...Mayb...
Cradlepoint has now confirmed that the PHS300 will NOT ever support LTE, due to limitations of the hardware itself - the PHS300's processor is not fast enough to support the super-fast speeds LTE can provide. It is able to support 4G WiMAX devices because while WiMAX is fast (and certainly much faste...

Wonder if we could keep a thread going where folks could post about their stays at campgrounds on the coast all over the country? We're heading, slowly, to Texas, Arkansas, Florida then up the eastern seaboard. I've been doing my homework with AAA (though we've quit them in favor of Good Sam) and RVP...
Besides being Escapee's, we're also Workampers. Some of you may recognize my handle from the Workamper Forum. -- Edited by tworootless on Wednesday 19th of January 2011 09:01:23 AM
I am looking to pick up my 5th wheel on Thursday from the dealer, and bring it home til we leave for Florida next week. Not sure what day we leave, depends on the weather. Looks like it will be the beginning of the week. Is it ok to leave my 5th wheel hooked up to the pickup, or must I unhitch and set it up. My...

I want to start towing my 2005 Honda Element EX behind my Class A and need opinions on whether to use a tow dolly or tow bar. I assume there are pros and cons to each. Thoughts?
Corpus Christi has recently had a pretty big hail storm. A local RV Dealer has hail damaged RV's heavily discounted. I've not looked at any units yet but thought I would ask the forum what to watch out for. I'm sure their insurance paid off on damages so I am thinking that is how they can afford the disco...

Hello, It feels good to join up and in, Sherri and I have been lurking for several months. In May I suggested to Sherri that we sell everything and rent residences to the north in the summer and to the south in the winter. Sherri did not say no flat out but she suggested that she still wanted some kind of home...

Well, it is a new year and I've begun a new venture. Effective January 1, 2011, my first posting on my webblog has been made. While we aren't "officially" full-timing in our RV yet, we will one day be there, so I chose to post this in the "Forum Member RVing Blogs" category. With t...

We will be out in a fifth wheel and weight will be an issue. I don't want to trade our 3500HD for a medium duty truck. Luv my truc...
