Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I had posted here (and on other sites) our problem with Scott Motorcoach back in NJ. They did repairs on our rig last summer and changed out our steps for no reason. The damage was done to the back wall.
When asked why they changed steps, they first said done by mistake. After taking the rig (our mistake!) we found they were from 16 to 20" from the ground. We asked for correct steps to be sent to us - they refused, saying we have the correct steps and they were not responsible.
So I complained online especially at Montana Owners site knowing Keystone monitors the site. I wrote to Keystone but was told they do not get involved between customers and dealers. Finally a few weeks ago I wrote to Good Sam Action Line.
Got a call this week from the NEW service manager at Scott. He said this issue came to his attention by the owner due to a letter they received and they had a meeting about it. They have ordered the correct steps, will be shipping them to us here in Arizona. We can do what we want with the old steps. They appear to be steps for a bumper pull trailer. Might try to sell them.
I will contact Good Sam to see if they sent a letter to Scott Motorcoach. We are very pleased with the actions of the NEW service manager. This time persistance paid off.
