Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi all! In November my husband and I will be taking an RV down to a wedding at the Olde Pink House in Savannah, GA. I was wondering if there is an RV park near the facility? Thank you in advance for your responses. Have a great day!

While this actually relates to a blog of a fellow Oklahoman, it starts out as a news story about her. I won't even begin to try to describe too much about her. I'll let you check her out yourself. Many of you will find it interesting because she shares recipes and has photo contests. In essence, she is a...

Is the Wanderlodge still made? I found a Wikipedia article that says they quit in 2009, but I don't trust Wikipedia as a reliable source of information.
Being almost as detail oriented as Howard I realized I had information on where various internet sources worked for us over about the past two years. Hopefully this information will be helpful to some of you and won't put you to sleep. I will start with results and then explain. Hughes.net: We had it...
This is my first post here and I just wanted to give you all an idea that I have been using now for almost 4 months. What I did was I bought 36 marine deep cycle batteries, I bought them all from tractor supply because they had the best deal and the highest amp hour for the money. I paid 86.00 a piece for them. I...
Here it is; We are looking to purchase a new tow vehicle (Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab SLT Duramax Diesel) with a purchase price of about $53,000. We could pay cash for this truck but to do so we would have to use a large portion of our "emergency fund". We would then take the "monthly payment...

Noticed some dripping on the outside of the rig and upon investigation found a small amount of dripping water coming from the pressure valve off the hot water tank. It has been warmer than it has been in a while-could that have something to do with it (we haven't noticed it before)? If no, is this a big dea...
I think this has been mentioned here before by at least one of the forum participants, but for some reason I can't seem to find it. So, for the benefit of an individual on another forum I freqent, I will ask his question here in hopes of getting answers. His question: Has anyone ever had any dealings with...

Walk in and feel like you are home is how our house has been described by our friends. We bought this house to be our home base and have a safe secure place we were comfortable leaving for extended periods. Our situation has changed and we must be care givers for a family member. This is a 1940's farm house w...

Hello! We are happy to be here. We began our workamping journey in March 2010. Worked in WV over the summer and at Amazon.com in KY up until Christmas. Hey all, In preparation for retirement (hopefully by end of year) I am on a mission to look at all our current expenditures trying to find ways to save. We have had the same insurance company (State Farm) for years. Yesterday I went on-line and got quotes from several other insurance companies for...
We are staying at an RV park where we are paying 16 cents per kw hour for electricity. As we just began fulltiming this year, this is our first experience with paying extra for the electricity. We've been trying to determine how many kw hours we use with different scenarios such as gas or electric water...
We are trying to decide between two Honda 2000 watt portable generators and a box mounted generator. We want to keep the generator in the back of our F350 truck to save storage space in our 5th wheel. Also like the idea of keeping the vibration and noise out of the rig when running. Have heard allot of g...
I don't know how on earth it happened - but suddenly water isn't draining at all. It has been slow in the past, but never like this. I've tried a plastic wand (very thin, about 3' long) and stuck it down and twirled. Also tried a plunger, direct force with hot water, plus some denture cleaner. No luck. ...
This also could include all diesel motors with the 2010 emissions. Has anyone made any modifications to their exhaust systems. I am considering doing a DPF delete, going to 4 inch piping, keeping the cat. converter and muffler.

However now the bad news, we are both still (hide your eyes, you know what's coming) WORKING. That makes it h...
