Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I'd like to have a document for listing the campgrounds and resorts we visit. does anyone have a suitable document to set this up? I have no idea how to do it but am will to learn! thanks
I just saw the mattress on the love seat sofa bed in my new RV !!! it was very thin and looks very uncomfortable so I want to replace it before leaving. The size is a bit odd, 41 inches wide, 68 inches long - between a twin & full. Does anyone know where I can get a new mattress (would prefer a memory foam one...
Hi there, Well I've reached an interesting and awesome point in my life. I've got a full time job I can do from anywhere. Seeing how I have no idea where I want to live and don't really like living where I do now I've been seriously pondering the idea of going to FT RVing. Background;I'm single and 30 and m...
I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but couldn't find it,specifically. We are looking at 5th wheels that can be pulled with our 2010 F-250 DSL Supercab. We currently have a small TT. We are looking seriously at a Jayco Eagle 31.5 RLDS,(34'7") which is no problem @11,700 GVWR (Ford says 5t...

They sell gift certificates to restaurants all over the country. Usually for a $25 gift certificate you pay $10 and have to spend at least $35 at the restaurant. But sometimes they have great sales and today and tomorrow they are 80% off, so you pay $2 instead of $10. I just bought $250 worth of gift ce...
The things one learns full-timing in winter as snowbirds who have temporarily misplaced their directional ability. We have learned not to leave the galley faucet dripping at night and not to leave the sewer hose out. If one does, one ends up with a hose that is filled with ice! So now it's put out the h...
Just wanted to say Hi. Melissa and I moved into our 5th wheel in 2004, lived in our driveway for almost one year, just to make sure we could. Sold S&B in July of 2005 and moved to a campground in Biloxi, Ms until Melissa retired in Dec 05. Went on the road in Jan 06, haven't looked back.
Does anyone have Insurance through GMAC? They claim to have a Full Time Protection. Just wondering if anyone out there has this insurance. Thanks for your comments
We have a 1999 Georgia Boy Landau and the floor stays wet next to the outside wall in the bathroom. My theory is that the fresh water supply hose started leaking on our trip from Illinois to Florida or soon after we arrived. The MH remained winteized til we got here. We will be moving from Bradenton to St...
We are looking to buy a Mobile Suite in next couple months and see prices all over the place. I was wondering if anyone who has purchsed one of these could tell me how much off MSRP we should expect. I know some claim 30-40% but I assume all RV could vary on this as they probaly have different mark up. I talke...
Today was one of the worst days of our lives. We had to put our beloved Foxy to sleep. She was 15 years old.....up until this past summer she had a very happy and active life. She had gone downhill rapidly in the past month. She had stopped enjoying her walks, often stopping and not wanting to go any fur...
We have two roll-up wood cabinet doors in the wardrobe area of our class A. One covers the TV and the other is just a storage space. Our problem is that one of the plastic tracks has broken and in doing so has broken a couple of the wood slats in the door. They're also very hard to move up and down. My DH is w...
Hey gang, I'm a newly 40 guy out in sunny SoCal, and I'm doing the research to start out on the road full-time. I build pre-1970 Harleys and do art as well as photography and various other things that can pretty much be done anywhere. Over the last year, I've realized that the amount I spend traveling to al...
When we leave the Rally on about April 19th we are heading for the Grand Canyon and the Red Rock Country in general. I don't like to go more than 150 or 200 miles every 5 days to a week so it will take us a while and that's OK we have all the time in the world Since we don't really want to be there during the height...
Well it looks like it is time for tires. We have a 34' 2004 Winnebago Brave with about 30,000 miles on her. The tire tread looks great but there are cracks in the sidewalls and after last year's RV Dreams Rally where we learned all about tires I'm thinking given their date that it's more than time. Al...
Hi there, How many work camping jobs have you had since you started full-timing? What types of work have you done? What would be your dream job for work camping? We are on our 2nd work camping job after our full-time jobs while living full-time in our rig. We have been in NE, then OK, now FL and soon MI. i...
Hello everyone! Karin and I began our journey in March 2010. We've kept a blog from nearly day one of beginning the process to hit the road. So the Workamping World Tour blog was born in January 2010. We recently began a 2nd blog, titled "Live and Travel on Minimum Wage". This was just created...

A specific date hasn't been set but it's should be available sometime in February. In addition to finally getting Mac software, this update will also allow for better performance and reliability out of the LG VL600. We still recommend the Pantech UML290 do to the fact the LG VL600 still doesn't offer...
We are looking to head out in the early morning for our trip to Florida. This morning it is about degrees here. I wanted to load our refrig tonight but not sure how this works. Right now the temp in my refrig and freezer is 20 degrees. My freezer should be 20 degrees colder and my refrig 20 degrees warm...
Looking for opinions. We've been looking at 5th wheels with rear living. Some are Rear entertainment. We've been told the rear of 5th wheel bounces pretty good as you travel down the road. Is the bounce too sever for electronics associated to rear entertainment? Thanks
I am looking at a 2005 Ford 350 Duelly 4 x 4 with a 6 litre V8 and 5 speed transmission. It has 177,000 KM on it. It had only one owner and is very clean. Asking price 20K. I do not know much about the Ford Powerstroke. Is this a good diesel? We want to use it for towing for approx 10 years. Should I wait dor a Dodge...
I know there's more than a few photogs here and I'd like some real world opinions on doing photography on the road. Ideally, I'd like to bring in some supplemental income selling stock photography through the usual channels, as a way of supporting my art photography. In a S&B, that's easy to figur...
