Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So I tell everyone I live in the south for a reason........and snow/ice/roads closed/school closed are NOT the reasons! My husband & I are wondering just how far south we need to go. we live about 30 miles below atlanta and we have been snowed/iced in since sunday night. husband is retired and I got to stay home from work for 2 days but not being able to even go outside without risk of slipping & breaking something is not my idea of fun. I keep trying to tell him that if he would let me retire also we could be somewhere else.........shorts/flipflops/toes in the sand. many more winter storms like this one & I may have him convinced!
Heard it was 22 in Atlanta this morning. Wow. Think I would stay in too as those falls can be very costly as we all know(better to miss a couple days than weeks) Warming up in S AZ. 70 today and mid 70's by next week!
You need to be in Florida! I heard on the news last night that there is snow on the ground in 49 of 50 states, including Hawaii. Florida is the only state with no snow. It's not exactly balmy here in Jacksonville today but at least we can get around without breaking a hip!

Just four hours south of you in the Lee County area (Leesburg, GA.) might just be all you need to go. I've been living here over 32 years and only seen snow 2 times, and that was all gone within 2 hours. During this past storm where ya'll suffered so much, we just had some ice in the trees and power lines. No big deal at all.
I can golf here at least once a month 12 months a year. My wife and bicycle ride at least once a week. Sometimes we have to bundle up, but at least we get to ride some to get it out of our system. This has been our worse winter in memory and it really has not been tough at all. Last year we hardly had a winter.
Come on down and camp at Chehaw Park, in Dougherty County (Albany). Full hookups, and check us out.

Central America maybe? Belize? I have heard tales of American retirees living like kings on nothing but social security income down there. Darn this global warming anyway!
I'd like to know that myself. We are in Silver Springs/Ocala Florida, low last night 27 high today 54 with a wind chill of 46 Tonight supposed to be 23. Although it can be cool in Arizona we will be there next winter.I'll take 40's at night over 20's any day.

We are in Sebring, Fla. the weather has been mostly in the 70's to the low 80's since we arrived on the 29 of Dec. The last two mornings have been very cool, not below freezing. This is first day for long pants. Got up to the high 50's today and will be back up into the 70's with lows in the 50's by this week-end. We have good friends in Casa Grande, Az this winter were we were schedule to go this winter glad we came to Florida, its very cool there this year and we were in Gulf Shores in Nov, however its been very cold there again this year. Our plans is to come back to Sebring, Fla again this next winter. Stay warm...

OK. I'm compiling a list of folks to get even with in the future. So, you'all just keep posting about that warm weather.
Actually, we're suppose to warm up some this weekend, and who knows, this might be the only cold spell we get this year. However, I did hear that the Farmer's Almanac is calling for a cold year.
With the arrival of the really cold air from up North, Al Gore must be around here somewhere. Everytime he shows up for an event, it gets cold. If I find him, I'll drive him north.
