Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

How much is it worth to sell your house in order to go full-time. Would you do it if you walked away from sale just breaking even or with very little cash in hand? Just had real estate agent come by our house Friday night and from what they are saying about the comp sales in our neighborhood we will practica...
At the last rally I mentioned using photography as an income stream. Several folks asked me to get them some details, so I was gonna write up a synopsis on a class I took regarding this. Something better has come along, so I thought I'd share as there is a limited time frame to get in on some savings. BTW, w...

I didn't see it but could have missed it.We are trying to understand weights...and while my husband and I are rather inelegant people we are not wrapping our heads around this.We are currently looking at used Class A's...both Diesel and Gas. We know t...

We also found another stat that read max trail weight 5750, the curb weight is 4900, max GVWR is 6650 With our family of 5/6 we are, of course, trying to get the roomiest TT with the lightest weight. While we initially w...

The time has come for new deep cycle batteries for our Dutchstar-we have the original ones which are 2002. I don't think that brand is made anymore. Suggestions anyone? Any good or bad experiences?
I have a question about additional parking availablility at state parks & private campgrounds. Hubby & I will each be driving a vehicle when we go fulltiming. He'll be pulling the 5th wheel & I'll be driving a small pickup truck or SUV & towing a small enclosed utility trailer. I...
Hi everyone! My DW and I are looking at a 2004 Monaco Cayman 36PDQ with 4 slides and a 300HP Cummins with 27K miles. We plan on towing an enclosed trailer (5500lbs.), moving only 3-5 times/year. Has anyone had any experience with Caymans? Is 300 HP enough to do what we plan? If not, might this engine be up...
This am we crossed into the great(cool) north, customs took all of about two minutes, only one car ahead of us and we were on our way to Lethbridge, this is via I-15. This was our 5th crossing into Canada but our first with the TT. Never have we encountered any delay nor problems at all. Once on our boat, I an...
We have a Wedgewood Gas Stove in our camper. My husband went to turn a burner on and didn't know how to work it. He turned the burner on first to lite but didn't know what to do after that. By the time he figured out to turn the striker to lite it the gas had built up, so when he turned the striker it like exploded...
There doesn't seem to be much in the way of national coverage of this flood event. It hits a bit close to home since this is the area I grew up in. This is the farm I grew up on and where my mom still lives. She's been evacuated kicking and screaming, but at least we know she's safe. Kerr Home Place, Velva ND...
Anyone out there full timing or doing extended travel in a small motorhome like a 21' Chinook? If so, please tell me how you're doing and some positives and negatives of your experences. Thanks Terry
I just wanted to give everyone the heads up that the 4G LTE amplifiers should be hitting the market soon. The first won't be applicable for a mobile application (designed for a home), but a few other systems are almost ready to get approval. So, things are looking up if you're looking for the best 4G cove...

I have a 20GB data plan but would still l...

Hi - We are moving out of our house and into our new RV home on July 29th. I am trying to find out how I can still have our Dish TV. I replaced the air filter today on my 07 Winnebago Journey 39K. It wasn't a hard job at all and I documented it with step by step pictures and posted it on my blog. I hope this helps anyone thinking of doing this job themselves. www.rsanityrvtravels.blogspot.com Best Regards!
In October, there is a mini-rally in Grove, OK that is a regional for DRV Suites owners. We went last year to Carthage, MO and while there, it was announced that this year's rally would be in Oklahoma. Since there aren't many of us Okies as a part of the group, this year's organizers asked me if I could he...
