Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Ben and I have talked the last couple of years about simplyfing our lives and not being stuck anymore. We had a 2 year plan, but with a job loss things sped up fast.
I am excited to say we have a contract on the house and are looking for our new RV home. I am ready and a little nervous. We will stay put for while why we get rid of the debt that we have been working on. Then the plan is to do some exploring and enjoy life and nature before I am to old to move.
I wanted to say how much I appreciated this site. I kind of stumbled across it while looking for information. This site has very helpful information!! Down to what vaccum cleaner to use - THANK YOU for all the wonderful help.
You will find that an open attitude while full-timing will make many new friends. They will remain friends and you will see them down the road. Funny how the travel people do that. We volunteered with some people for a couple of months, and have remained steadfast friends. Enjoy your new adventures.
Welcome to the site. We are a friendly bunch around here so don't hesitate to ask questions. Congratulations on selling the abode. In today's housing market that in itself is a huge step. Best of luck in your search for your new home on wheels.

Like others have said, be sure to ask questions as they come up. Lots of friendly folks here to help.
Oh, by the way, you already have many friends right here on this forum.
Good luck with all your plans.
Jim

Welcome Ben and Mary. Here you will find real people with real life experiences traveling in their RV or with plans to do so. No question is too basic or complicated. I've been reading this forum for a while now and have found it most valuable. Good luck with your plans. Jerry

Well, I'll throw in our "Howdy" as well. You are already getting good advice from the others. I'll just mention that there are NO DUMB QUESTIONS. Every question can bring a new perspective to an "old" topic and we all learn as we go.
In the case of some of us, we get to sometimes learn the old things again, especially with the details.
Welcome, and start planning and downsizing.
Terry
