Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello everyone, about a month ago to the day an idea popped in my head, Can you live in an rv? I have never owned, rented, or camped in an rv. I didnt know about fulltiming or partiming, so ive been reading alot! My husband and I talked it over and we decided we where gonna be fulltimers.
Just alittle about me when I (finally) make a decision i move very quickly. So the research began, and day before yesterday I bought a 87 fleetwood prowler. It needs completely redone inside, floor, some studs in walls and ceiling. My dh and I are carpenters by trade so this will not be a huge task.
Just wanted to say hello all and I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions!
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums, and we look forward to your questions. This is the place to find friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable folks to help.
If the Prowler is a motorhome, you will also want someone to look into the drive train, including the engine, transmission, axles, etc. If an RV sits for some time, there could be a tendency for seals to dry out, which could lead to other problems. You will certainly want that looked at before you start traveling.
Good luck with all the remodeling and getting ready.
Terry

Way to go. Sounds like you will get off to a good start. I am sure you know about workcamping. With your skill sets, you should be in great demand, in places you want to be, doing what you want to do. Have a great time.
Boots/Chris + fur babies Welcome to the most friendly forum available that is full of sound advice from experienced RV'ers. Lots of good info here.
I thought you might be interested in seeing a restoration in progress. Mark's RV Garage is showing a restoration of a vintage trailer. I am not promoting RV.Net, but since that is where I found this link, I am only passing it on.
You should have fun with your construction background. If you do not have a blog, you may want to consider starting on that will show the progress as you move along. That would be fun reading.
Good luck on your progress.
