Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello All, My husband, Dave and I (Candy) are from Iowa and have been RVing in an Airstream since 2001. We are not full-timing it, but on weekends and vacations. We LOVE RVing!! We are considering going full-time once we retire, hopefully in about another year. At that time we want to purchase a 5t...
We had the opportunity to tour four factories this week. My DW and I toured the Airstream and DRV factories together, and we split up at Heartland. I toured the Landmark, Bighorn, and Big Country factory while she toured the smaller travel trailer factory. Most interesting! This is something that e...

We are setting up an 04 Jeep Liberty to tow behind our 37' Fleetwood Diesel pusher w/air brakes. I see supplemental trailer brake systems and I am wondering if they are worth the extra cost?

I just bought 8 tickets for the Rose Parade next January 2nd. We will probably do the overnight paid parking a few blocks from the parade route, but I'm also looking for an RV park for us to stay at a few days before and after. We are real newbies and will probably be renting an RV for a couple of weeks. (Al...
OK. Me and my wife have come to the conclusion that south Dakota is going to be our home state. We were just wondering, those of you out there using SD as your home state, which cities you would recommend. One of our primary concerns is finding a city or town that has decent health insurance rates. Kim is Ty...
As I noted on the recent active post about state residency selection decisions, it just became super important topic to Evin and me. We just SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!! Everybody make sure to do a complete safety check before heading out. This headline just reported in Colorado: PARACHUTE - The Colorado State Patrol is looking into a fatal crash that involved an RV and a truck near Parachute Tuesday. Troopers responded to a head-on crash on Highway 6 east of Parachu...
I'm planning on putting a double scooter carrier on the back of my 2008 Georgrtown MH. I feel it might be better than pulling around another vehickle. Does any one think I will run into problems with this idea. I figure my better half and I can ride out 20 to 30 miles out into the surrounding area to see the s...

Our 5th wheel has gone into the shop for some insurance repair while we are staying at Mike's sister's house taking care of his mother while his sister is away in South Africa. Damage was done when we first arrived in April at the campground here in Rhode Island late at night. The owner knew we were comi...

We've officially passed our 1 month mark of living in our 5th wheel. In a lot of ways we love it but it has had it's moments. Mike at 6'8" is adjusting to itty-bitty living space. I'm adjusting to itty-bitty kitchen. We've been through storms. At first the rain hitting the roof was annoying bu...
I've got a question for everyone. Once we get our house sold, we will be living in a mobile home park for an extended time until we retire. Doing such, it would be nice to have a sewer sytem other than expandable, flexible hose. That way, when the tanks are dumped there would be no holding water in the "...

But if you try to edit anything with HTML in the visual editor you can easily lose the hyperlink. Am I the only one seeing this? This might have started when I let Windo...
