Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Don't know how many of you are Dish Network customers but they have cancelled their Distant Network Service. As fulltimers we qualified for DNS, giving us the New York and Los Angeles local channels but we got a letter from them stating they could no longer provide them after Nov. 15th. Evidently th...
Just wanted to put out the word that there was a horrendous accident on I-10 near Baytown, TX this morning. A bretheren RVer was involved in this major, major, major multi-vehicle accident, but luckily I do not believe anyone lost their life. I saw on the news that a BIG COUNTRY 5er was involved. Jus...

Thinking about making the switch from my 07 Duramax/2500HD, 4X4 short bed to a 08 or 09 F-450. I just cannot afford a new one. Hi, We are planning to become a full time rvers and we are planning to stay in one place for the whole summer. Ok so we have purchased our 5th wheel and our 2001 Volvo VNL660 and both have an air hitch on them. On the 5th wheel we have a MorRyde at which our home has a full weight of 15,500. and is 39ft long. Our HDT has an E-Z floater on it. The people who owned it previously had a 42ft toy hauler. Not sure the weight but q...

While in Death Valley we saw a motorhome (well the skeleton of one) sitting at the entrance of the camping area at Stovepipe. That thing was un recognisable. Diane went inside the store to ask what happened but I guess eveyone was pretty busy so didn't get the scoop. I don't know how to drop pictures in h...
Wed. will be departure day for us... finally!! We are watching the weather now because we take off Wed. It looks like we might be able to head down I-5 and head to Reno from Mt Shasta. Then it will be a choice of 395 or over to Fallon and down 95. If the weather or roads look bad that way we are not apposed to tra...
Well. I may as well get this over with right now.I have a penchant toward submitting my posts in color, italic, and 'this size' Comic San font text. - 'Larger/smaller size' in some cases. - 'UPPER CASE' in other cases. If there is an objection to this here, I may as well know and go now.In the last RV forum,...
Pulled into Stephen Foster SP, GA. with a 40' 5th wheel. Told no problem getting into a spot. Well big problem. 10,000 worth of roof repairs later. We are sitting in a motel waiting for repairs at the local Camping World. Don't try if it too narrow. Just move on.

We were recently out to see Alicia and Slade at Rolling Retreats in Elk City, OK and Slade showed me a new light fixture. It is an LED unit that is designed to replace a lot of the ceiling "pot" lights. One would need to remove the existing pot light to install these, but what impressed me was t...
