Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Today I realized our dogs name tags have our old house address on them. We are full-timers and have a SD mail service. What do others use for an address, or do you just use phone numbers? Thanks, Ann
I want to check on what the warranties are. I bought a new Georgetown and was very surprised that the warranty on the "house" was only one year. Is this right? Appears the transmissiom, appliances, etc all have different warranties, but the "house" only has one year. Did you ge...
As we travel with our RV, we occasionally run across some memorable festivals and events or car shows. They are fun to attend and encompass local interest. Is there any festival or event that anyone has attended that they would recommend to others?Nelson

Any suggestions on the best way to find the closest place to fill your water tank when boon docking? We participate in several art shows each year where overnight free camping is provided for artists with fully self contained rigs. Our biggest challenge with this is finding a place close by to fill ou...
I was poking around on the internet last night to see if I could discover any more info about my Caboose trailer, and I came across the website of the son of the owner that I had emailed when I bought it. It seems that what I have is not really a 1974 Semaphore Caboose, but a prototype! He states perhaps 10 or...
We just purchased a new Boily Pro3600 SiE inverter generator for a mission trip. We will need the A/C a LOT for about 5 days non stop and we wanted to minimize weight so this Boliy generator looked like it could meet our needs. I searched the web and read dozens of posts, visited numerous sites and disco...

It was once said by Edmund Burke that "Those who do not know history are destined to repeat it". Let us not forget this fateful day in our history which transformed a generation of Americans into the Greatest Generation by their actions taken there after to preserve our way of life. We need t...
Any opinions on the DRV Mobile Suites vs. DRV Elite Suites? We looked at several pre-owned models today and narrowed our choice down to 3 that we both really liked. I know the Mobile Suites have a rubber roof while the Elite Suites have a fiberglass roof. Other than that, I'm struggling to see what...

I found two exact 2005 DP's one with a smart wheel and another with the standerd wheel. Perhaps a dumb question. Just wondering if the smart wheel (lights and other swiches) is trully worth it. Im kind of thinking is there is a problem with it , could turn out to be expensive and harder to trouble shoot a pr...

I am new to the concept of fulltime RV living but I like the idea. I am 61 and thinking about retirement. I thought I would need to work until age 70 to be able to retire. I reaalize now that that plan was because of our "stuff". If we have less stuff we need less space. At first I just thought mobile...
We're thinking about getting a portable water softener for our 5th wheel. Camping World currently has two on sale. Does anyone have any experience with either the Flow-Pur or On The Go models. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Beaver Dam Campground is a place we'd recommend for anyone traveling through the Shreveport/Minden area. It's part of the Caney Lakes Recreation Area. There are 28 sites with electric and water, and a dump station in the park. There's also a tent camping area in the park. The RV sites are nicely l...
After looking at the larger mega rv lots and for sale sites on the internet, it seems to me the best bang for your buck is in the 75 to 100k of used rigs. I have seen many rigs with new michelins, three slides, tons of features including, sat, and engine service in the 80k range. However I did not talk servic...

I purchased a new Model 3800 D from Tom Johnson RV last July and I have had problems with the hot water in the shower. When I turn the knob to increase the flow of hot water to the shower head the volume and pressure diminishes to the point that I don't even have any water at all. Does anyone else have any ide...
So here goes: My DH was an RVer before we met. He loved his time on the road. Then he got me. And I was a pure sticks and bricks girl. No way, honey am I going to ride shotgun with you in an RV, is what I told him. I'll fly out to meet you when you get somewhere special, preferably right next door to a fine hotel with...
My wife and I are researching before buying a fulltime motor home. I have read alot about RV roofs in the form. It seems most people compare fiberglass and rubber. I saw a ad for local RV for 2005 Holiday Rambler Endeavor looking at the specs it has a alum roof. Looking for comments and idea's about a...
