Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are all thinking of you today........thoughts of you are held within the circle , I hope your procedure goes fast and well ........I know it could be a day or 2 before we get to hear from you, rest up, heal up!!
I think Terry & Jo's words are very fitting...........the family you gather from here become a very important part of your life!!

They have come along way Terry..........I went in in march altho I wasnt so lucky and Ended up with a Quad bypass and 2 inoperable anurisms .....I am amazed at how simple heart proceedures have become.
I have been to the Cath Lab 4 x since then and they go in and out like its nothing with just a little cut.......Even with my bypass I spent 11 hours in surgery and 4 days later they had me sitting and standing. at 6 days up and walking!!
Doctors and technoligy today is amazing.....
when I was in the hospital, my walking buddy had no heart just an electronic pump on pole connected to him as he waited for his new heart.....he would walk with me every morning!!!! Before I left I got to take a walk with him on the first day he got to get up and try out his new heart. I had tears in my eyes, just thinking of what the Doctors gave back to us.
life is a gift, each moment to be lived to its fullest

When Jo had her heart attack 7 years ago, she ended up with the angioplasty because of a very serious condition. Our youngest sone had a stent installed when he was in his early 30's. So, I am encouraged in your case that yours is not a "heart-attack-in-progress" type situation.
Like Mike, we will patiently wait for the results of your procedures.
May God bless you.
Terry

Janni: Prayers sent your way this day! May the Good Lord guide the hands of the doctor!
I was in ICU for 5 1/2 days and was released on the seventh day. I read recently that I survived the most severe type of Heart Attack when I re-read the hospital record. It is called a Myocardial Infarction/STEMI.
Yes: Life is truly a blessing and gift. I say to most everyone; "That the Lord let me borrow some more time on His Earth."
I am beginning to learn how to deal with the loss of having work; the emotions that come with it are the most difficult. I have got depressed, angry, sad, tearful and then thankful. Which I hope it shows I am doing better from the help "family forum members" let me rant and rave on and on. Thanks to All! Pieere

Thanks again for this post, hugs, prayers, and remembering me on the day. I sure was blown away by what I went through, saw first hand, and even took home a copy on DVD! Turns out the blockage was right next to my new valve. That's a pig valve so I am sure I heard a little squeal even.(too many drugs, lol) Three balloons, one stent, and hopefully on the road to recovery. I am a little bummed about having to be down for a couple of weeks but it is a small price to pay. I take no meds, never really was sick before this. Since last January I have had my valve replaced and also a biopsy of mass in my breast(no cancer). I thought they were kidding me! And then when they told me I had less than 3 months to live.......that low dark place where I had to face my mortality. All the things that have happened......downsizing and living out on the road, dropping my insurance down to a high deductible, trusting my health care to people I have never met or known, not knowing that the signs of heart problems in women can be totally different than men, being a healthy 55 year old and thinking nothing could ever happen, and(most of all) taking way too many things for granted. I could probably do a seminar too. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Life is good.
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................congrats. If you ever go to give a seminar let me Know.......The things we could tell them!!!!! you will be glad with a little down time, Helps put the brain back in perspective!!
glad to here you did well, hope to see you out there in the spring!!!!!

Good to hear, Janni. If your procedure is anything like Jo's, then you've got years to go. Her heart attacck was 7 years ago and the blood vessel is still in good shape. So, take care of yourself, but don't worry too much.
And if you and Mike and my wife all get into the same room sometime and start talking procedures, I'm taking a hike.
