Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After reading Howard and Linda's account of hiking the Wave, it became a must-see on our list of places to go. However, after reading this article, we decided to do it the way they did....show up and take our chances as a walk-in.....in cool weather.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/25/wo...
Hi All, I found this site a few weeks ago and am very impressed with it and grateful for the knowledge and ideas being shared here. I retired from the PD up on Long Island, NY in the summer of '11 and came South to get away from the tough Winters and to be closer to the mountains for the great motorcycle roads....
Ever since Peter and I got married we had talked about traveling the country Over the years we did like most the one week or two week adventurers with our growing family. Two years ago we decided we wanted to retire early Peter at 61 and me at 56. We had a plan to make it happen. So we fixed up the house an...
Mom we lost you yesterday, we expected it, but not so soon. As one of the moderators of the forum, I should be one to really set an example to everyone else, but at times even I "get lost within the family" that resides on this forum. Looking back at a number of threads recently, I'm seeing many of them getting entirely off topic from the original post...
We've found the RV we feel works for us, but before we buy we'd like to have any input, comments or experiences anyone has had with this one. It's a Haulmark 4502DS, has many of the upgrades we were wanting. Thanks.
Linda, a while back Howard posted a photo of a T-shirt that you cut up or something. What was it you did to it? My T-shirts are too long, and if there is something more interesting than hemming them, I'd like to know.
Hello, I've been visiting forums for about four months now; I thought I had decided on a motorhome but decided to wait until 2014's were out to get a better deal on the make and model I had been looking at. However, I've been looking at several since then and am having trouble deciding between a pusher a...
Hi all, We are John and Debbie, planning on full-time RV'ers soon. Hopefully in a 37 HR Endeavor. We were sailboaters for the last 12 years or so living full-time on a 46 Morgan. Does anyone have any experience with this park. I know it's early, but we're looking for a place in the Rio Grande Valley for next winter. I saw this place on the RV Park Reviews website and am intrigued because it has riverfront sites. I love being parked with a water view. I'd appreciate any informatio...
I know there are a few good Ext Svc Warr companies to choose from, but what about straight RV insurance (similar to homeowner's or renter's)? Good Sam? Progressive? Who do the RV-Dreams community recommend for FTers?
The American Softball Association girls fast pitch softball tournament is in town. And I do believe they are all staying HERE. *cries* They are all driving fancy cars and have a big "we are way too cool to be staying in a KOA" attitude...... I left and came back and someone was parked IN FRO...
Delightful Canadians parked next to us last evening and showed us this set up. I thought this was brilliant. Two pieces of "plastic" gutter - one slides in the other to adjust length - two hinged boards with an adjustable cord to adjust height of support. I believe the hinged top of the supp...

By total accident, two of our children (DS22 and DD20) started working and living in National Parks when they decided not to take traditional paths in life. We have always loved to travel and are so proud to have installed such confidence in our kids to just up and go and just do it. As we have watched the...
In Washington you can't register or change the address on your drivers lic. to signify your full timers. They allow you to call youur address "Under the bridge" for the homeless, (This is true it's in writing on the website) So Can't use PO box or mail forwarders address in Washington, we h...
If you do the right things and keep it up, how many years can you get out of a camper? I understand everyone treats their campers different and some go up and down the road more than others. Just some kinda idea, thanks Chuck
We have finally made our way to the eastern states after leaving Oregon in Nov.!! We will be in Gettysburg Pennsylvania mid August and will probably start our trek back south down the eastern seaboard at that point. We would probably go farther north (but like we were told we would see) the campgroun...

You are all going to love me; hate me or quit listening. I have the results from the Nuclear Heart Viability tests. I have no wall motion on the frontal middle to the bottom of my heart and over the septum which divides your Left and right ventricles which push oxygenated fresh blood out to our body parts....
When traveling constantly, I've not ever noticed any difference between the ability to send text msg & receiving/making voice calls. When in my daughters home some rooms have no voice signal, but all text msg are sent/received. We all have Verizon. Any thoughts?
Needed a way to watch my Dad while I'm doing yardwork outside or away from home so I went to BestBuy and purchased a Dlink 1150 Camera. It connects to the router we use for our home network/DSL service. From our PC and ipads or iphones (using the MyDlink app) we can access the camera from where ever we ar...
