Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Having looked at Howard & Linda's expenses, sample budgets and some others I found online, I've been shamed into reducing our grocery bills. I already knew I spent too much, but I'm way out of line compared to other peoples budgets. Ok, I spend too much on wine, but is that 'Food' or 'Entertainm...
I Just bought a Fleetwood Bounder 1998, personally very happy. Problem never owned an RV before so a virgin to this style of living. Is there any pointer or information I should know. I am slowly doing the reading of the owners manual which is very vague to say the least. I have never set an RV up at a campsi...

We're heading to The Springs at Borrego in early October. Wondering if anyone has traveled S-22 into Borrego Springs in a big rig. We're a 39' fiver and a F-350 long bed crew cab, about 58' overall. I'm concerned that S-22 may be a bit too tight and twisty. And there is a straighter alternate route. ...

For those of you with a nice new tow vehicle, or maybe an older one with some dents, and are pretty “brave,” this might be “interesting.” No recommendation – Just info.http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2013/07/28/line-x-rhino-coatings-bedliner/2588539/BillEdit by moderator:...
It appears several of you (Ann-Hank, WorkinRVers, Cowdog353) are working camping in the area around Mount Rushmore / Crazy Horse. I know of at least one other couple besides my and DH headed that way in mid-August. Ann has been kind enough to get us the "family and friends" discount whe...
Traveled south trough Illinois today to Bloomington and then east on 74 heading to Cincinnati for a couple of week. I-39 was really rough especially as we got closer to Bloomington. I- 74 east bound was a lot better. Roads in Illinois sure could use some work. Travel across Indiana tomorrow. Hop...

We did it we bought our dream home this last week, so excited! It's a 32' Daybreak motor home. We bought it out of state so had to make a long drive home, pretty much empty and we were little surprise at how much noise there was, now I'm a little worried it's going to be worse when stocked with supply's, any on...
HI All, Howard has asked me to start a new thread regarding the new Weight Watchers Plan. I was wondering how everyone was doing with the new point values. I'm finding it a bit confusing especially since I've been doing the other plan with minor variations for about 10 years. It's going to be really i...
1. May I suggest a workamping thread all it's own? 2. Branson, MO - considering a few months there next spring. I don't speak "Southern" and I'm really not a big C & W fan but we love the idea of being exposed to a totally different lifestyle and culture (for us) and we've never been there....
We are planning to head to south Texas coast in the fall and am wondering if there is anything special we need to do to protect our coach from the salt air. I would appreciate any input you have
My 15 month old German Shepherd pup, the absolute love of my life, died yesterday. He stopped eating Wednesday, Thursday he was lethargic and didn't eat, I took him to the vet Friday. They checked him for everything, his bloodwork was good, everything was ok, and determined he had a virus. Gave him f...
I have been off forum for a week or two, so as not to jinx my escape... keeping a low profile, and slipping past the "evil forces" that seemingly wanted to keep me trapped in California. (Remember my last attempt, when I got 3 flat tires, the truck and trailer fishtailed, and I totaled it, 20 m...
I bought a Wireless N adapters with a USB cable, attached it to a paper plate covered with aluminum foil, and set it in my slide out window. My signal strength went from 2 bars to 4 with nice connection speed. I am almost ashamed how this Redneck Engineered Wi-Fi signal enhancing system looks hanging i...
We will be in our new 5th wheel one month come Monday. Wanted to share a few things we have found. I had too much food in the freezer for ice and trays, so we found a small portabel ice maker on amazon. It is awesome!! Will make up to 28 lbs in 24 hours. The one we got is by New Air, it's about the size of a bre...
Bummer, I had typed out whole question and screen blipped and all was lost. I hate when that happens. 😁 We are in our first workamping job at a place that we love With a team of hosts that are great people. 4 couples and one 'senior', experienced in this park, floating host. Only 47 spots left to rent out. H...
OMG....now we are looking at all the gorgeous 5th wheels out there to choose from. They seem like the way to go but need others opinions from the forum please? We love the New Horizon custom units in Junction City, KS. But there are so many other brands out there. We are having a great time looking but i...
So, we are currently researching class A deisel and have a few questions.... First, I realize that everyone has different preferences...and it really is what feels right for you, however, just researching the different brands/makers, it gets a tad confusing. What's the difference between Ita...
Thought I found the motorhome of my dreams but then I looked at a pusher and am struggling to decide. I'd like some advice from those of you who have driven both; pro's. con's ... which you preferred and why.

Friday while travelling down I-5 towards San Diego a Motorhome caught my eye. From the color scheme and shape I would say it was a Monaco. What got my attention; the living room slideout was extended at least a foot while travelling at 65MPH down the highway. As I pulled up next to the drivers window I g...
