Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I look to find someone who would like to come off the road and get back into a residence? We have a home and 9 lots in the Indian Lake Subdivision of Smithville, Texas area (45 minutes to Austin, TX) and have it for sale so we can go on the road full time. Information on craigslist at http://austin.craigs...

Moving into the coach when we get back and then off to Rally in Franklin :). Back to Florida for the holidays an...
Learned something interesting the other day. Some unknown person was able to get ahold of a friends debit card number and made some charges on his card. He called the bank and they said there was nothing that they could do until he filed a police report and jumped through other various hoops. I ha...
We've been at the same park for about a week, watching other campers is our favorite passtime (Watching the animals in the Zoo), it will never cease to amaze me what people go thru trying to park-I had one old gal in a Class C back into the same space we were in, darn near took out my toad, then I told her she n...
Am trying to download a picture from my computer under my profile page - everytime I hit "submit" the info disappears and no picture downloads. Any help out there?
This season Joan and I learned a lot about workamping. When we started in April we didn't know anything as this was our first workamping experience. We met some wonderful co-workers and some unusual campers. We drove tractors, felled trees and herded bats and birds. We cleaned campsites and restro...
we are beginning snowbird travelers and one issue i find a pain for me and miss sabrina is respecting leash laws and keeping her safely contained in my site while not tying her. tying her is lousy for all, she hates it and gets tangled in the chairs and such, so a corral we can leave up for a few months or col...
We just bought the On-The-Go system. The double size, and are happy so far. The smaller size would have probably fit in the wet bay but I will have to Regen the larger one less often so I guess there are trade offs. One thing I found out by setting the unit outside. If it is in the sun it acts like a water heat...
Hi. I'm Jordan. I'm new to the forum. I've spent most of my adult life traveling. I just recently started traveling by RV. Mostly with friends that own them. I've rented one a couple times and plan to buy one of my own soon. I don't stay in one place for too long. I want to see as much as I can of the world. Hopin...
I was browsing at Camping World the other day and looked at new CO detectors. On the pacakge it stated the detector should be replaced 60 months from the date of installation.
I didn't know that the detectors have a life cycle. I looked at the CO detector instructions in my owner's packe...
We went to an RV dealership today to look at the Sanibel 3500. We have seen it a couple of times at the Chicago and Grand Rapids RV. It meets our needs and wants. My question is when the salesman asked what truck I had I indicated that I did not have a truck yet but was thinking about an F350 DRW Diesel. He said I...
If you are passing thru Ohio on 275, and you need a place to stay, we recommend Winton Woods CG. This is for big rigs and tents alike! The big rig sites are concrete and level! There is hiking, biking, kayaking, walking and a bunch to do in the park. Very well kept and we can not say enough about it! Here is th...
We accepted a job at Elma RV Park, in Elma, WA about 30 minutes from Olympia WA. Think we needed the job just to prove to ourselves that it wasn't US at the last place!😛 It's not a park to brag about but it's fine for our purposes this summer. Its exceptionally clean. The managers seem really cool and en...
The original furniture in our Mobile Suites was just not proving to be comfortable. So, Jo and I have followed the lead of several others and replaced it with some new stuff. The couch and two recliners are now gone and sold via Craig's List. In their place are two other items. One is a La-Z-Boy Recli...
Will be taking possession of our RV hopefully this weekend. It is a 2003 Travel Supreme Select and am now looking at warranty plans. Does anyone out there have any info to share and/or companies to contact? I would assume this would be an important coverage to have, especially since the unit is goin...

I imagine that many of us use picnic tables very often, as they are usually part of the camp site. Personally, I find sitting on the bench is very bad for my posture and I tend to get a backache after just a little while. Does anyone know if a contraption exists which will allow you to sit at a normal picnic t...
My name is Tammy and I live near Atlanta, GA. The kids and I have been working for a year on a virtual trip across the country in an RV. Right now, it is a dream....but we are learning, planning and saving for it. The kids have it all mapped out....and have visited all the websites for the places they want to g...
Hello, New to this forum. We are in the hunt for a new 5th wheel. Last April I upgraded from a 22' boat to a 26' so I can fish salmon and tuna out of Westport WA a bit safer. I figured I make my living on the water so I don't want to kill myself having fun on the water. I have a slide in truck camper so I can tow the...
Hello everyone, my wife and myself are going to start looking at Rv's tommorrow, Iam very interested in a jayco 308rets travel trailer, i know most fulltimers seem to prefer fifth wheels over the travel trailers, but i do like the idea of fully utilizing the back of my truck with a nice topper, also woul...
I have a job offer in West Palm Beach Florida. One of those offers that if you turned it down you would forever kick yourself in the butt. Never really considered living in a hurricane zone in an RV. Eeek.
Has anyone taken the driving test in TX? I am considering becoming a Texan and have a 41-ft MH. I would have to take the driving test. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you. Liz
Last night about midnight I was shutting down for the night when this 26 foot brandnew trailer pulled up in front of my rig. Nosey me sat down and watched what was about to happen, out jumps mom and two sons and began to look for an empty space. For about 45 min. they tried to back this rig between two class As...

Truthfully, I am about to lose my mind over resolving the connectivity we will set up. We are researching the setup, and system to buy now and I have gone around in circles so many times that I don't think I even understand the language anymore. If I may, let me just ask a few questions... 1. My research...
