Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Just completed installing a 50 gal external fuel tank. Sure will be nice to have enough fuel to cruise past the lower priced fuel and need to fuel at the most expensive within 500 miles. Just kidding I hope, with a little planning, should be able to take advantage of cheaper fuel. I think the best part wil...
My wife retires next week and we plan to head to arizona in Feb for a few weeks to do a couple of art shows and "test the waters" for next winter. I'll have to pull the rv out of storage and dewinterize it when we get to somewhere warm (probably misquite, Nevada). Our first show is in Wickenburg,...
I made it to see another Christmas which is certainly better than the year of 2012! Had my heart tests done in July and although they are not great here is the prognosis....the echocardiogram shows Coronary heart disease; CHF. The left ventricle is mildly enlarged with the lower wall having decreas...

I'm planning on retiring in August 2014. Want to travel for the first 4+ years. By myself, well an old beagle would disagree. Looking for a small 16'-19' light weight trailer. Livin' Lite or Escape look like the best choices for me. Pulling with a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Don't require much. Thousand Trails...
Our little family of 3 is growing. I am expecting our -new baby boy in May. We are excited. This of course has halted our plans to full time. However, after the baby is born we plan to head out. Hopefully before the cold winter comes again.
Whoops accidentally posted in wrong forum section... now I have it right.I'm a bit envious of those who have a grandfathered data plan. Having been a bit of a luddite when it comes mobile internet, didn't need it or even think I would(given what is now consider commonplace, how foolish is that ?) so I ne...
Our family is growing and our current Class A is falling apart beyond repair. We are looking for preferably a 5th Wheel but are flexible with a Class A. We are looking for something with at least 1 slide out, and room for a Pack and Play play pen for the new little one. Our price range is $500-$3000. We are ho...
Looking for any suggestions. We have a Dometic RM1350 model fridge. On Dale's drive home from OK it failed, error code E3, needs service. We took it to a local service center when he got it home and they diagnosed the issue as needing to replace the circuit board. Now, about 6 weeks after that repair...
So I found a nice class c I am interested in, the seller has come down a little on the price. But the price is based on what he owes. So I realize he does not have the Title in hand, he lets me know what bank he owes to and i find out their branches are on the east coast. I was hoping to go with him to the bank pay it of...
SOLD............SOLD...................SOLD..................SOLD.................... We have a Magna Shade that fits on our 2007 Tiffin Phaeton for sale. It's 1 year old and works great at keeping the sun off the windshield and the heat out. It is black in color and is in great shape. It...

We would like to wish our fellow RV Dreamers a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. Safe travels and hope to see ya down the road. Cheers!
Posted this on my Facebook page tonight, "The Stars are Brightly Shining" a phrase from a favorite Christmas song that came to mind tonight as we stepped outside of the RV in Quartzsite AZ. Boondocking for the Christmas season this year anticipating a very simple, quiet Christmas. Absol...
I have a Safari Simba Motorhome, in PA atm with very cold temps. We are hooked up to city water with a heated water hose. Lost water in the rig a couple of days ago. Decided to see if I could fill the internal tank and get water at least for showers and washing dishes etc. Filled the internal tank (so I kno...
My wife and I are planning to head from Katy, Texas to Galveston on Saturday, December 28. Would appreciate suggestions for a good RV park and "must see and do" places, restaurants and activities while there. We have a 40 foot motor home and toad. Need 50 AMP service. Have 3 pups.

I was looking at the "List of Users" here which I find very interesting and noticed that some were listed as "lurkers". What is a "lurker"? I have never seen that term used on a forum before. Anyone that hasn't looked at the list, should as it interesting to see espe...
So....we might have identified a coach that we believe will work for our new full time life, however it's in Texas (and we're in PA). We are flying down to look at it next weekend and I have been trying to locate an inspector/tech to give the motorhome a thorough check/inspection. Haven't been able to...
Since I have been told that there is no such thing as a dumb question, I will throw this out and hope that that is true. We recently bought a 1990 36 foot Airex from the second owner who knew very little about it. Everything works but I do not know if it is a 30 amp or 50 amp electrical system. How does one det...
My wife and I have been through pop-ups and even managed to stay married through double towing a 21 ft. bass boat behind a fifth wheel. But after being away for about 11 years we're thinking about buying a used deisel pusher with an eye towards possible full timing. Knowing the durability and expected l...
I think that title might be an oxymoron-but when we first started our adventure one of Howard's criteria on the test for readiness was "are you flexible". I am a planner by nature but willing to learn flexibility. That came in handy several times on the mountain in Utah. No electricity...
Hello all you wonderful peoples. Sorry for the odd post title. Intro first then the paranoid part. My name is Michael. Single, 53 years young and doing LOTS of research for full timer living. Been at the reading of all kinds of class A's "Off grid" solar systems and about anything else yo...
Hey Guys, I have been living full-time in my RV since April. I look forward to being a part of this forum and sharing info. with everyone. I am currently on the MS. Gulf Coast, but will be going somewhere else after the first of January.
Thought I would start this to continue a thought I had while responding to another post... I have been truly poor twice in my life. Once as a child of two very young parents and once again as the young mother of children. In both cases it was hard and often scary, but some of the best times in my life cam...
