Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Incredible how time flies, isn't it? we bought this 2002 Carriage Cameo back on July 2nd of last year. It was delivered and set up at our campsite and just a few weeks later I had to move to Boston for medical stuff. That took quite a while so we had the camper delivered and set up again in Florida so by the tim...

Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section. A fifth wheel (2006 Excel 33RSE Limited) that I have my eye on does not currently have a generator (owners never planned on f/t'ing in it or boondocking - it was to be only for weekend getaways). They say there is plenty of room in the basement to put one. On...
So Lee spent some frustrating time trying to schedule the PDI on our new unit. All three people he talked to strongly discouraged the need for it. I know I know they are fiull of it but I am amazed they are giving us so much trouble. One of them accidentally let slip that we have the unit that was supposed...
Hi, I have been having numerous problems with my Atwood Leveling System since I purchased my 2006 Allegro motorhome in that year. Every jack has been replaced at least once. This last problem involved one of my jacks dropping to the road while I was driving. Luckily it didn't catch on anything in the...
Wake up out there you hibernators! Spring is here and I expect by July most of the snow will be melted in Vermont and New Hampshire. Looking for resident and pass-through recommendations for nice parks in the New England states: NH, VT, MA, CT. Must haves: Full hook-up, access for a 40' 5th whe...
Maybe someone on here can help us with ideas where to search. I have been looking for a 2011 Newmar Ventana 3434. It has a floor plan that we like with the sofa across from the tv. That and we want to upgrade to a diesel from our gas MH. We would like to be a 2011 as it would be financially better than buying a n...
My 5th wheel has a double sink with a corian counter top. My stove has the same corian surround. Both the sink and the stove have covers made of the same material as the counters which when inserted, fit snugly and make it look like one surface, so you cant see the sink or stove top. My question is...d...
we are leaving the east coast for texas and hope to move our medical care there too. dh has medicare and I have blue cross so hopefully it won't be too difficult to find someone who can take over our primary care. we appreciate a dr who doesn't whip out the prescription pad at every complaint, if at all poss...
Most of you know my Heart attack caused Congestive heart Failure! It has been a very tough time for me since July of 2012 when I had to quit work camping due to my health. Been through the Poor Me's; anger; diassappointments; tears; and What good am I now syndrome! I met so many people and acquired some...
We recently ordered a new Keystone Alpine 3010RE at the RV show in Dallas. During the process the dealer suggested a treatment for the interior to help deal with stains and spills (we have two dogs - actually they are house trained). They also offer, as part of a package, a treatment for the outside of...
I Was approached by a doctor friend with an Idea........(I,m sure its not a first) Would RV'ers use medical services and medical Centers Geared toward them.... parking ,hookups for appointments & stays would you use a primary care Physician on a secured Web connection like skype for your simpl...
Ok, I admit that the light bulb is just not going on over my head with regard to these matters. I must have an extreme mental block. I have read all the guides available, all the posts here, attended a seminar at an RV Dreams rally... but I'm still just not getting it. I am strongly considering the purcha...
Hello! My wife and I have a 6 year plan to be full time RV'ers and workamp along the way. Starting the planning (or saving $$) now to do this later. My wife is originally from France and came to the US for college 20 years ago (became a citizen in 2002). She is fluent in both French and English and I am flue...
SO I was looking into changing out my mousehole cord to a removable Inlet system and cord. When I was shopping around, I saw all the usual locking inlets but I stumbled across this website that had a completely different design. It was a straight style very similar to the TT-30 cords. FYI: 30A straight b...
Granted, all those years didn't include an inverter except for the last 3 or so.We learned something new this weekend when we had a power issue. We've been living in the Mobile Suites now for almost 3 years and never had an issue with tripping breakers or blowing fuses. Yesterday morning, we were up a...

For the past several weeks I’ve been one of those “lurkers” Howard talks about. It’s time to publicly join the crowd. My wife, Mary, and I are moving toward spending time on the road. We’re still discussing the full-time vs mostly-time modes (me the former, she the latter). Last summer we bought a 2...
We're in the same park we've been in for 3 weeks, but this week is remarkably different, it's spring break in Texas!!! 3 weeks of mostly snowbirds or full timers and over the weekend the entire complexion of the campground changed with families, kids, more kids, lots of dogs, huge increase in noise le...
Wow! It’s been a year since we started this adventure. We moved in the traveling home the first weekend in March 2013. A lot has happened since then, had the house purging and selling, moved into a campground –Twin Lakes in Chocowinity for 5 months, Alie retired in June, then I worked my last day Oct....
I'm getting down to the wire now. I really would love to be able to find a new, loving home for my 3 cats (14, 7, 7) Happy to send pics and bios. They are used to having a lot of space (as least compared to a 35' RV) to run around in -- to play with their toys, and to chase & wrestle with each other, not to ment...
RELEASE AT 12:01 A.M EST ON MARCH 5, 2014Wonderful: Now if we could just get some firm numbers on axle capacities we'd be in business to make additional decisions. Remember, the fifth wheel tow ratings are great, but without a firm number on rear axle weight rating you could still overload this bea...
We've been using a standard satellite dish on a tripod with DirecTV for four years. We have a residential location in the summer and use the same address for our signal all summer. When we've been travelling in the winter we've had no problem with calling and having our local channel location changed....
Today I found and bought my new RV: a 2004 Georgie Boy Cruise Master 3625DS. I get to bring it home on April 1st. I would say that you have no idea how happy I am, but I am sure that all of you do know. I cannot get this big grin off my face!! I know -- pictures -- but I haven't figured that part out yet.
Greetings, My wife and I going to give full-timing a try. We've decided that a DP MH (w/ a Toad) is the best platform for our situation. We are starting to look at used late model ('09-'12) units. We like the Tiffin Phaeton 40 QTH floor plan - front salon, mid kitchen, rear bedroom, multi slides. It wi...
