Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New England!

Wake up out there you hibernators!  Spring is here and I expect by July most of the snow will be melted in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Looking for resident and pass-through recommendations for nice parks in the New England states: NH, VT, MA, CT.

Must haves:         Full hook-up, access for a 40' 5th wheel.

Nice to have:     55+, local bike trails, reliable wi-fi, convenient to interstate.

I realize pickings might be slim but if we find the right place, we're not opposed to spending a month or longer.  We'll be starting our summer in the southern half of CT and then moving to the eastern half of MA.

Keeping in mind we are about to get another 10 + inches in NH Thursday......July might be right!!!!!

Eastern mass is limited in Campgrounds most in that area are south of boston towards the lower cape R.I area
Campgrounds in southern New england are few/Crowded/older.....

travel within the newengland states is fast....you can drive from Portsmouth NH to boston in roughly 1 hr......portsmouth to portland maine 1hr.

I-95 is only 16 miles long in NH there are several nice parks near hampton beach in NH.......cross the line into maine and there are several in york/york beach

campgrounds are $$$$$ up here. I tend to seek out the state parks on the coast areas or in cape cod.

as far as bike trails....the rail trail runs the length of cape cod....very nice!!

I haven't stayed there (yet) but I have seen several recommendations for Normandy Farms in MA.

We lived 7 years in upstate NY and have camped all over the Eastern states in a large pop-up. We always stayed in state parks and DEC run parks. Now that we'll be in a 5er, I'm sure going to miss it if we are too large (at 36') to fit in them I'll have to do some quick research to see about the length limits. Memory reminds me that it might be more of a problem on the interior roads in those campgrounds though.

the only places on the west coast of new England which I know of are Lone Pine in Colchester Vt, though def not 55 and over.
the other is at a nudist resort if that's of any interest.
oh wait, Onion River Campground in East Montpelier may have what you're looking for.

Trust me- NOBODY wants to see me in a nudist colony, or nudist beach, RV Park, movie theater, mall or grocery store.  I may even do away with my nudist shower and mirror.  Thanks for the ideas.
