Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We recently ordered a new Keystone Alpine 3010RE at the RV show in Dallas. During the process the dealer suggested a treatment for the interior to help deal with stains and spills (we have two dogs - actually they are house trained). They also offer, as part of a package, a treatment for the outside of the trailer that is supposed to help with cleaning. or preventing, streaks and other cleaning issues. Have any of you had experience with something like this? Is it worth a price tag just north of $1K? The unit hasn't arrived at the dealer yet and they are the ones that would apply these treatments. We still have time to make a final decision.
commercial grade Scotch Guard on the interior....polymer Glazing the Exterior
Scotch guard on the interior is great to keep things looking new and keep alot of dirt buildup of furnishings...I use it at home and in the RV over the years.
The Exterior glazing is also worth it.
If they are kept up with they will prolong problems but they are not the miracle cure..or a no maintenance product.

Mike nailed the Scotch Guard on the interior, but we use the 303 Aerospace protectant on the outside.
What the dealer is offering is nothing but a money maker for his pocket, which will be done by a less than half zealous employee.
Any good carwash and wax works for the outside.
Yes you can do all that stuff yourself..................For a lot less.
I wash and wax mine quite frequently just like it was a Lambo'. Keep it always waxed with a good quality product and it will stay nice for many years. Unless you're parked for months on end down in Arizona baking and burning off paint and decals. There is no wax or treatment in the world going to protect from that.
Yes, watch out for the dealer add-ons including extended warranties. You'd do better thru Wholesale Warranties on this site. Ask me how I know.
When we have our 5er washed and waxed in the Verde Valley, AZ the detailer used a "UV" protectant liquid was made in Phoenix. I didn't buy a bottle but wonder your suggestions for best waxes?
Sherry
