Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Longtime RV owners finally escaping from work-like-a-dog lives and careers, praying for a few good years to see the heavenly creations bestowed upon this great Country.Found this forum via Bruce and Robin's 2-year old blog - RV-Revelations - Revealing the adventures of RV Living...
Or at least a warning? I checked into a campground where two bulldozers, a grader, a back hoe, and two compactors began their day at 8AM, about 100 feet from my trailer. They seem to be expanding. Now at 2:30, the rumble and deep harmonics of the equipment is coming through the walls of my Airstream and...
Good morning All,Well it's that time of year for many of us. Time to renew our insurance. A quick search of Full Time RV Insurance tells me it has been almost two years since there was an update on this topic so I am throwing it out there. Who are you currently using? Are you happy with them? How long have you...
I ran across this guy on the Internet and have watched a few of his videos. I did find that he made somewhat of an error in one he did on banking but it seems he may be OK on some of the RV stuff. He seems to echo things I have read on here. Any comment etc., especially from Howard since he's an attorney. Here'...
We are about to switch from a all electric motorhome to a 5th wheel that is not all electric and because I'm a numbers guy and someone that like to set (loose) budgets (I'm working on our 2019 budget) I'm curious what you full-timers average per year or per month for propane cost. I know everyone is diff...
I left New Mexico with a disabled wife in 2011 for full time RVing heavily influenced by RV-Dreams.com with no regrets. Wife passed in 2014 and full timed until Hurricane Harvey took me out last year. I ended with a Texas Residency and I have worked here for three years. I am accepting a position with...
Merry Christmas, everyone! I'm wondering how you full-timers decorate your RVs for the season. Do you have a Christmas tree? Where do you set it up. I'd love to see some pics, too.
Hello All, I have a San-t-flush or San-a-flush question for you: Can you close the gate valve when flushing the tanks through the flushing system on our Mobile Suites? The reason I ask is because I was told no by the dealership I purchased our 2018 36rrsb3 from. The technician said that I shouldn't clos...
As many of you may know my wife and I are planning on going full time in a couple of years. For quite a while now my plan has been to get a Super C motorhome and pull a trailer big enough to house my motorcycle and a small car, likely an older jeep. However, as folks on here have pointed out carting around a coa...
Hoping some of you out there can shed some light on this particular fifth wheel hitch. It is the Blue Ox Super Duty model 6200 that we would be installing in GMC Sierra 3500. Our RV service center in Huntsville AL recommends it but I can't seem to find many reviews online anywhere. Which leads me to believ...
Each year when we return to the states I review the options for our cellular plan. We've been with Verizon for many years, but each year we are surprised by the changes. Some changes are good for us but the last few years the take-aways have been worse for us. We have two iPhones and an iPad with unlimit...
Since space is limited where can you store such things. Also my husband isn't much better off than me so getting in and out of our motor home is a chore. We are not made of money so what to do? Would love to buy a custom motor home but again the issue of money and do they even make a handicap accessable one? ...
Considering our age, we have decided to look into the possibility of stopping the full-time RV living and look at other options. So, with some misgivings, we are offering up our 2010 Mobile Suites and 2008 Ford F450 for sale. Let's begin with information on the fifth wheel. Also, there is addition...
Has anyone ever dealt with these people? They use (or are) ebay motors. They claim that they can get our asking price for our Foretravel, for an up-front fee of $400. We're asking $39,900 for it, and I'd hate to give them $400 and then find out that they think the NADA price of $10,000 is actually right.
We have a Truma Aqua Go water heater (love it). Our automatic switch on our two propane bottles switched, but never showed the red indicator ... resulting in BOTH tanks being sucked dry. Always happens when the shower is going ... so I got both bottles filled, opened the valves and turned the Truma on...

We have been full-time for 3.5 years in our 2007 Tiffin Allegro Bus and it has been the happiest time of our life. We have spent time...

Hello Howard + LindaNow that you have had time to settle in, make some changes and spend time in your new to you home just wondering if you are planning an in depth review of your rig and the transition process? My wife and I spent a few days around the Smoky Mounation National Park recently and we had our dually. The roads are narrow and there were signs at the entrances restricting the entrance of commercial vehicles. We saw several other duallys as well as a few class Cs on the roads. We saw a few rangers and ou...
Since last Tuesday (writing this the next Monday) we have been at an absolutely gorgeous location in East Tennessee for our son's wedding. The place is called Meadow Creek Mountain Ranch and is about 15 minutes outside Parrottsville, TN. There is a small lodge, cafe (open Fri - Sun), etc., and the own...

My husband and I wanted to go full timing, researched all about it, thanks to RV Dreamers. :) We went to RV shows for several years b...
OK groovy guy and groovy gals (am I dating myself here?) I've been thinking. As this is always a dangerous thing for me to do I thought I'd come here to see what others think of my idea. For a while now I've been thinking/window shopping for a super C motorhome I was going to use to pull a trailer with my Moto...
Im looking to purchase this rig. The owner says these wrinkles were present when he took ownership from the original owner. He also said the RV never hit anything. No signs of water intrusion/stains inside the cabin, and the outside roof was re-sealed two years ago. The seam where roof and this pann...
FYI, this just crossed my email... Harvest Host is bumping the cost of their membership to 79 dollars/year starting Jan 1, 2019. Anybody that signs up before that date will not have their rate increase from the current 44/yr. This a good deal and will quickly pay for itself even at the higher rate if yo...
