Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
This technical forum is provided by the Diesel RV Club, an FMCA Chapter, and is an unofficial effort to enhance communication and exchange ideas and is open to anyone with an interest in Diesel Engines. The site is not designed to be an official communication tool to any diesel engine manufacturer (e.g., Caterpillar Corporation, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, or Navistar) nor can it be a substitute for calling the engine manufacturer's service hotline.
With close to 20,000 posts on over 3,500 topics related to diesel-powered motorhomes it is a go to site for assistance, helpful hints and guidance. It also features a discussion board "Hey Dave, I've Got a Problem" manned by a retired diesel mechanic that helps solve engine problems. The rest of the discussion boards offer preventative rather than remedial guidance.
We have belonged to the Diesel RV Club for several years now. We have attended many of the rallies and as a woman RV driver I love the technical sessions. Now if we end up at "camp Cummins". I no longer have a deer in the headlight look when they begin discussing diagnostics and fixes. There is a great Diesel RV Club rally coming up in March in GA just before the FMCA International Convention. I believe it begins on March 3rd. Those that have diesel trucks pulling their trailer or 5th wheel will also benefit.
