Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We don't smoke and don't have pets. Low mileage and light use. Rear bath, front full queen bed, large basement fo...
Greetings: We are Mike & Nancy from Canada's Capital City of Ottawa. We are well on our way to our retirement dream of being Full Time RVers or Full Time Snowbirds. Our goal, see no more snow. I just began my retirement on Monday. Wifey within about 6 weeks. We also just bought our tow vehicle. A beaut...
We know nothing about RVs but want to travel. We have a person that is a friend of our son who has an RV for sale. It is high mileage and we are worried about the mileage, 100K. It is a 30' 2000 Georgie Boy. Looks pretty good inside but a 100K miles is a lot to us. It has no leveling system and he offered to throw in...
We just bought a 2007 Mountaineer travel trailer approx. We are having an issue with the kitchen sink. Water will not go down. My husband has done everything he can think of and more. Baking soda, vinegar, snaking, checking vents and we still can't find the problem. Anyone else have any suggestions as...
The other day I responded to a topic on the iRV2 forum about someone who was trying to figure out a way to make a short 50 amp extension cord without spending a lot of money. This Summer I had a cable connection go bad and before I could get new ends I found a new cable at a reasonable price. I thought I would m...
Our travel trailer had not been closed up. We went to clean it up and noticed a whole lot of carpenter ants in the camper. They are everywhere. I don't know if they are in the walls or not. It is an Evergreen camper. How can we get rid of them and stop them from coming in again. Thank you so much for any hel...
After a couple years of searching and changing our minds a couple times from MH to 5th wheel. Earlier this year a good buy on a truck came along, so we dicided to buy and look for a 5er.Yesterday we bought a 2006 HR Alumascape 31 SKD from the original owner. It's in great shape, used but not abused. Workin...
Our original decision for a change in lifestyle was led by a decision to downsize which eventually turned into a decision to FT RV.We’ve now been FT for 2 years, really, really loving this lifestyle. We were able to take my corporate “work from home” job and Dale’s art business on the road with us and...
Hello, we live a bit north of Tampa in Florida and have been camping for quite some time and made the same natural progression that I think everyone does. We tent camped a bit when our kids were much younger but bought a beat up old starcraft pop-up for cheap on a whim. From there we went through 2 Sunlines a...

Everything went very well with RV driving lessons through The RV Driving School this weekend. They were originally suggested on this forum and when we inquired the price seemed right. DH took us to Augusta Maine where we were met by our instructor, Bill Baxter. He was knowledgeable and patient. I was...
I have a small shop selling handmade and hand picked gifts. I don't have an official online store but do have a community page for my shop posting updates, sharing products stating whether or not they are available online and if so, link to website such as etsy or eBay where it can be purchased. Also shar...
Hi, new to forum, name is devin, just joined and verified. Ive been a flea market vendor off and on for 18 years. Getting back into the business but different approach than in past. Hello folks, DH and I finally bit the bullet and purchased an rv (Sunseeker 3010DS Class C motorhome) and put our house up for sale with the intent of going full time within the next few months. We have been following this forum for at least a year now and have enjoyed reading about and learning from Howa...
I am full-timing for about a year now, with a 1998 Class C, currently no toad, but am thinking about a 3-wheel motorcycle or a moped. I'm 68, and haven't ridden a cycle in years, just want something to go to the grocery store, etc in, but want a little storage available. I plan to boondock some, so want so...
Hey everyone, Well, I've been FTing now for a couple months and already I've had the need to have a repair company come to where my RV is parked to do repairs. This prompted me to think about a site specifically for these types of businesses. So, I put together a new site for operators of Mobile RV repair bu...
Our 1999 MH gets a really foul odor when it's been closed up. We full timed in it for two years, and it never smelled bad, but a couple months ago our plans changed and now it sits closed up for days or weeks at a time. When we open it up, the smell is enough to make us gag. After we open the windows an...
We're planning to go full time this summer after selling house, etc... We found a 2005 Damon Intruder nearby. They will give us new tires and a one year full warranty on everything inside and out. Asking price is $49,000. The rig has 3 slides and a bath and a half. Pretty nice. Does this sound reasonab...

Has anyone had any experience with The Happy Camper Club? It appears to be a competitor of Passport America and one does not always get the best quality from the CGs under PPA. I am wondering how this one stacks up.
& ready to rock and roll. I don't have an RV yet, but I am doing diligent research and trying to decide in which direction to go. I'll be traveling solo with a dog that I don't have yet :) I am leaning toward a used (probably 1995-2003) RoadTrek van. I need something small enough that I can handle o...
My DH and I are taking our lessons through RV Driving School this weekend. He has been driving with rv's in tow for some time, but last year was his first season with a larger rv in tow. He did great, but we figure there may always be new tips and tricks to learned and safety is important. Now, on to me---I hav...
Linda, At the rally last fall in Indiana you talked about museum gel or glue for securing knick-knacks. I have many that sit on wood surfaces. Does the museum wax or putty work best for this application? As far as you know is there any chance of damage to the wood from these products? I appreciate inpu...
this is a total newbie question. If I order a model with the options I want do I have to go thru a dealer? If so will they quote the MSRP ,and do we negotiate a sale price from there, before we actually purchase the unit?
We retire at the end of 2017 and are looking forward to "Mostly" timing. The DW is not so sure about full-time yet (although I would do it in a NY minute LOL).Still, we are planning our first post-retirement trip! We call it our "2018 retirement present AlCan Escape" (a 6-ish mon...
As I plan our travels I would like to compare the elevation gains of various routes. None of my software seems to address this ongoing need. I know I could save on fuel if there was an easy solution to this question. We have driven through passes that are 9,700 feet. That's a lot of hill climbing and a b...
