Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So there is an older post in here somewhere about things that you've found in your RV that you LOVE and can't now live without. It's been sooooo useful to me as a newbie! In fact, someone put on there they couldn't live without their Bose system - and I ended up going out and buying one for my TV - as it was so...
We just bought our first Class A RV - a Monaco Diplomat 1999, it's in great shape however the pleated blinds are dusty and a bit stained. Looking for suggestions of how to safely clean the blinds and how others maintain them over time. They're those day/night type of blinds. We also have some dated shin...
We have stayed at Cal-Am parks since 2009 specifically Valle Del Oro. This year they lowered their fall special to $895.00 for the months of September through December. Only a boring person could get bored here! They have everything you can imagine pickle ball, tennis, swimming pools and a state of t...
I think I am a bit close to my limit for truck/fiver combo and will find out for sure at the rally in Tennessee in May. If I am right and I need a bigger truck, I want to learn as much as I can sooner rather than later, as if I need to move on up i'll do it as soon as I know for sure. The truck is an 01 F350 dually 7.3 engi...

According to each of the websites I have visited, the disability passes must be applied for in person w/documentation..However, none of these sites have information on where one can do so. COE Was not included in the new legislation and cannot issue ATB Passes but do still honor them at their parks. I...
HI, we are still in our research stage. I'm wondering if a galley in a slide is more prone to breaking. I'd appreciate all the feedback we can get. Julie and Natalie

Our good friends are selling their 5th Wheel. It is listed on http://www.kansasrvcenter.com they bought it new and have updated it and maintained it really well. Listed price is $27,900. Check it out, might be what you are looking for.
Anybody have any experience using this site to purchase an RV? Any good or bad experiences? Stumbled across their ad while checking listings on RVT.com and wondered if they're worth checking out? Thanks all! Jim
The latest in our RV repair issues is the fridge. It was working on propane and last week went out completely. The RV is 23 years old and with all the other repairs I'm having to make, I decided not to spend more money repairing a unit that old. So, I went to Walmart and got a 2.7 CU FT fridge for $79.00 and it's...
Evin and I attended the finals of the Chile Challenge Pro-GRT Mountain Bike Race at Angel Fire Resort's Bike Park this past weekend. I took a few dozen photos and posted some of them on our blog, www.puppypaths.blogspot.com on June 21. While we were enjoying the race I noticed that Jim Merritt, Ange...
Hi All, I have a Dish VIP211Z receiver and just added a 2TB hard drive to use as a dvr. I was shocked to find that if you are recording a program you can't watch another unless it is over the air. On my previous Dish receivers at home, I could record 2 or 3 programs at a time. Is there any way to be able to record a...
Hi everyone, We recently bought our first RV (Thor Tuscany 2013) from a private owner, but before we closed the sale the unit went through out an inspection at an RV dealership. Everything was fine beside few small things. The owner (77 years old) purchased the unit brand new and it still look like it...
I can't believe how time has flown and it is now 1 year since Mitch and I officially started this new chapter in our lives of becoming full-time RVers. Seems like just a few weeks ago. I also posted my reflections below on my blog: There are a number of things we love and things we don't love about the life...
We're sitting here in Ocean City (Ocean Shores) at the Thousand Trails park for the 4th of July holiday. Made the reservations 2 months ago because BIL said yes, they would be at their lot at Ocean Shores for the 4th and we would have a 'family' event. Other BIL said they would be out sometime during the...
Is there a list on the net anywhere of what can be towed 4 wheels down? Connie and are starting the research for our new daily driver and eventually we will become part time full timers like Bill and Linda with a home base and traveling several months at a time. At that point we will likely switch from our NH...
June 26th we celebrated 5 years of retirement and full timing! Don't know where the time went. We look forward to many more years of this fantastic lifestyle on the road.
Okay, I've been looking at my 2013 F450 manuals and feeling like a flusterated dinosaur. I can't find anything about the maximum rpm ratings, either in the basic manual or in the diesel supplement. Anybody out there in RV dream land know the maximum SAFE rpm while engine-braking down long monster gra...
Last summer we returned to our old "home base" area for 8 weeks, 3 art shows, TONS of family / friends / old neighbor gatherings, shrunk our storage room, did all our annual doctor, dentist, vet visits, etc. and left totally exhausted. We really didn't want to do that again, loved seein...
Ok, we had our first driving experience in the mountains last week (Smoky), which I'm told are very easy. We have a Ford F550 (4x4 automatic, with the tow/haul feature). Bottom line question - when using tow/haul are you supposed to alsoshift gears (to a lower one) or should it do so automatically and...
