Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a winter seasonal campground in the Tampa, FL area? Would need to accommodate a 40' 5th wheel. Starting full time adventure in 2017 so this is for future reference. Thanks!
Apologies if this is in the wrong category... I have the dinette chairs that open for storage underneath the seats. The seats are covered with fabric, which has become very dirty. Is there any way to clean the fabric rather than recovering the chairs? While I'm at it, any suggestions on how to clean b...
In our search yesterday for "the one" we came across a Pilgrim Legend 5th wheel that was very lightly used and very affordable. Its a 2007 model. I understand that this company was not in business long and died in 2008 with many others. We had never heard of it.
A few questions. What kind of r...
I know there has been much discussion regarding 4 season/full timing units and I have read quite a bit on this forum as well as others. When I want to learn something I always rely on the people who are actually doing/living it rather than sales people who have not experienced a full time lifestyle. My q...
Does anyone use Cummins coach care or their manitinance and or repair? What has been your experience with them? Good or bad, thanks for your input!

After four years, primarily being on city water, I was out to dump the grey tank the other day and noticed water leaking under the coach. After checking things out, I discovered that the fresh water tank was overflowing. Our Mobile Suites has a separate inlet in which to stick a water hose to fill the f...
We will be picking up our 2015 Newmar. Bay Star next week. Very exciting new chapter for us. I have picked up a lot of great info from this site! I'm sure it will save my hide many times in the future.
Today, as we loaded up our bikes, after removing the bike rack from the 5th wheel, re-installing it onto the truck, loading the bikes back onto it and driving 35 minutes to the trailhead, I was lamenting the fact that we haven't done a good job finding more campgrounds with easily accessible bike tra...
I've been searching and thinking of a way to cover the plastic floor registers in the rv (to prevent dirt, etc. to get inside) and can't come up with a good idea. If they were metal I could buy magnetic sheets to put over them but they are plastic. Has anyone come up with a way to cover them? Thanks ahead o...
Hello! I am Carol and hubby is John and I personally have been looking into full-timing since about 2007. Hubby was not onboard until recently so now it's time to plan! We have a long way to go but that's okay. I'm 52 years old and he's 50. House will be paid off in 31 months (but who's counting ). We don't hav...
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and brand new to RVing. I am looking for people with Sprinter Class B RV info. I have never owned an RV but have rented a few Class A's over the years. I have been researching my best fit. My main desire is adventure travel, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking, rock cl...
We're at the Pointes West Army Resort on a large lake about 20 miles northeast of Augusta, GA. My wife had some foot surgery today, so we have to stick around until a post-op visit next week. So... two weather systems are conspiring to cause some "1,000 year" flooding in the Carolinas this we...
Hi all, Since many of us in the dreamers class are experiencing their one year on the road anniversary, I took a stab at blogging about folks I've kept up with and included some basic statistics on the class. Although I know it doesn't include every couple, I went ahead and posted it at http://camperc...
Last night I dreamed we were camping in a desert but mountain type setting with a group. My DW & I had left the trailer and walked over to the campfire area where the group socializes. Sometime later, I went back to the trailer to discover it had been ransacked. It was weird because the trailer was...
In 2005, we insured our RV with National Interstate Insurance. They offered and we took what's called Full Replacement Value, a fixed dollar amount was set for that value. We expected that as the gap between the Full Replacement Value and the Fair Market Value of the rig widened, our premiums would...
My wife and I were going to sell everything and hit the road in March of 2015. My wife lost her job and we said if she wasn't able to find a job by June we were pulling the trigger. Much to our surprise she was offered a position with Union Pacific in May of 2015. We were both shocked and a little disappointed th...
Hello to everyone! I stumbled upon this forum a couple weeks ago, now I am hooked! A few things about us... April and Josh. We are from Virginia Beach and started full-timing in June of this year! I (April) am a traveling physical therapist, which is ultimately the reason we decided to live in an RV fu...

We are in a beautiful campground on the beach in So. Ca. but no hookups and no generator until 10 so I need to get some way to make coffee on the stovetop I presume. Any suggestions? Thank you
Hi Howard, I hope your dad is doing better. I continue saying my prayers for him. Question -- in one of your recent posts, you were talking about various anxieties when getting ready to move after being in a spot for a while. One of them was concerns about how things may have "settled." C...
