Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
A few days ago I came across an article in the Chicago Tribune about several web sites that permit you to order prescription glasses. The cost savings are mind boggling. I saved $150 over the price at Costco. Wow. Rather than make this a plug for a specific company, if you go to glasseyes.blogspot.com y...
We received a good offer on our house today!!!!!! Not a great offer, but good enough considering the market here in NJ, we will accept it, and should close on 9/27 we are so excited!! no more shoveling snow!! Anyone want to buy some slightly used furniture??? LOL!!
Hi! I wonder if any one is in this situation. We have a wonderful place - 1 acre in an upscaled neighborhood (for this area) with the one and only manufactured home. It is very nice with a double garage attached, sets on a foundation and nice concrete work all around. Right now the home is 10 years old a...

But he didn't seem at all interested in what was inside Since I am a newbie to feeding them, I was wondering what the problem might be?? the same nectar has been in there awh...

We want to purchase some type of surge guard for our motorhome. We have the Energy Management System on this motorhome but we have been told we need the surge guard also. We would rather not have the type that plugs into the box at the campground. We would rather have the type that is installed in the ba...

Hi Linda,
Just wanted to let you know I thought about you while I was eating dinner last night.
I tried out your recipe for porkchops and scalloped potatos and would rate them a 9 out of 10......I forgot the salt, otherwise it would have been a 10;)
I love easy recipes and this was really easy and rea...
Hi Linda, To celebrate our new coach, and being "almost fulltimers" now I just had to try one of your recipes that I will be cooking when we go out in our MH. I chose the one your grandfather made for you, and it is every bit as delicious as you and everyone else on the forum has claimed. L...
I feel I am ready for the fulltiming lifestyle, but my wife is apprehensive about making such a big change. While my parents have owned an RV in the past and after they retired, they did not do fulltiming, but did travel extensively. I have never owned an RV, my travels on the road have been via tent some...
Anyone have any hints to keep the frost from building up in the freezer and back of frig? I know I have been spoiled over the years with a frost-free frig but it looks like I should defrost every couple weeks. Which, of course, I do. HAH !!!!
We are looking to change Insurance carriers and were wondering what some of you more experienced RVer's pay for full time motor home coverage. We currently pay $2300 a year for full replacement value up to 5 years and $1000 deductible for most items on a 2007 Fleetwood valued at $170,000. This seems a l...
Well, here goes. I joined earlier today and don't want to be a lurker like I've been for a couple of years on other RV forums. I've been gleaning information everywhere I can and until last week was too nervous to post. I did but I was a wreck! I tend to suffer from intermittent episodes of social phob...

Well, we did it. Got to Deadwood, South Dakota Sunday afternoon, camped out there 2 nights, waiting for the DMV to open Tuesday morning. "Of course we miss the dishwasher, the icemaker, the big screen TV, the hot tub, the walk-in closets full of clothes, the spacious shower, and a full-size bathroom. But we really, really miss …… big, thick, fluffy toilet paper. :)" My husband wants me to REALLY, REALLY think about the abo...

Hello Everyone! Linda and I have been talking with a fellow that does publicity for the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). We have been telling him that there is an increasing trend of folks becoming full-timers at younger ages. Therefore, he is looking for full-timers in their 50...
This issue may have been addressed somewhere, but I can't find it. We've made the decision to full-time and are looking for the right coach. My question to Linda...and all the ladies who read this, is: Do you have a washer and dryer in your MH or TT or 5th Wheel? If so, do you have stackable separate un...
I have a Maj9200 dryer by Majestic and I need to know if there is a filter that you can pull out and clean? I did not get a book with the dryer and I am having trouble finding one. If anyone knows about this type of dryer I would appreciate any help. Thanks Sherri
Just wanted to say hello to all the lucky ones that are full timing and also to all that are like us that are wanting to be full timing.
