Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
just joined the forum-trying to get as much info as possible-my hubbie and i are from canada-we have done 5th wheeling for 3 years now but just when we can go because of work commitments-i'm a semi-retired teacher and my hubby is retiring in june of 2008-we have met a number of full-timers and have decid...
Hi Here I am again. Question...??? If you are parked in your motorhome on paved driveway and it is uneven... You put on your auto level jack system on and it automatically levels the coach...but the two front tires are off the ground about 2 inches..and then we put our slides out... Is thi...

How do you keep your duallie tires at the desired pressure? With my as is new tires on a used 3500 Ram, both outer tire aren't effectively reached by the dual foot tire inflator and only one of the inners has a visible cheap plastic extension on it that the dual foot can reach but won't release. I have a Camp...
I think having a bed cover would be a great feature. Any commerciall available rolling and some folding could be used with a hitch while towing, but would leave most of the bed exposed. I've googled for a custom cover like Howard has to no avail. Perhaps a report on how this unique (?) feature has been wo...
Newbe here. Put my condo up for sale last week, my shop goes on the market this comming week. Intend to sell everything that will not fit in my Roadtrek and hit the road for places unkown. Should have done this 20 years ago. Hope my children learn from my mistakes. I am 66 years old and feel like a kid again.
When the power is connected to 20amp service the 110v circuits work but the 12v lights/refrigerator are very dim. Could it be the converter is bad? The RV is a1992 Prowler. Everything worked fine 3 weeks ago.
[spoiler]We are in the process of getting prices on new tires for our MH. They look good, but are seven years old. We have found that the tire centers cannot spin balance and add lead weights on our size of tires. We have 22.5 inch rims. We were told that they put "Equal&qu...
Be sure and check the bolts on your fifth wheel hitch periodically, and especially after a new hitch has been installed, right after you tow your 5'ver the first time. We towed our new home to the RV park we are staying in, trip was about 35 miles. Noticed a strange sound coming from the hitch every time I c...
We are “newbies” that began fulltiming in May 2007 in a 2002 Excel 5th wheel. Even though there have been a few lessons learned along the way so far, we have loved every minute of it! Please join us on our "Excel"-lent adventure at Don & Deb's Excellent Adventure.-- Edited by Howard at...
Well, my Harley went to his new home today...talk about a bittersweet moment. The funds will go to purchase my starter RV. I'm scheduled to look at a local 33' Holiday Rambler that I really like (except it's SO BIG...<g>). If I like what I see, then we'll schedule a professional inspection at an R...

We are planning on fulltiming in January. I will be boarding my horse with a friend but would like to return and take him with us for a couple of months at a time if this would be possible. I know that here in Oklahoma there are plently of places for camping with horses. Some places you can only stay 14 d...
Not being fulltimer we have to keep our 5th wheel at a dusty, windy storage lot. There is no water at the storage site and because we live on a small cul-de-sac we can’t park the 5th wheel in front of the house at all. Add the fact that it never rains in California our 8 month old 5th wheel is really dirty. I am...
I started a topic similar to this in rv.net and received many responses. Since we're all Soloing, I'm just curious on where (city/state) all the solos RVers are hanging out right now and what type of place (State Park, RV Park, Boondocking)? I'm in Huachuca City, Arizona (southeast region of A...

Many fulltimers establish residency in Texas and South Dakota, along with a few other non-income taxed states. Has anyone had any experience with having trouble with your former State of Residence trying to hang onto you? This is our first year, so we are looking for things to be aware of and keep in pr...
H&L's post from yesterday got me thinking about all the places in the US that we don't know about. Places that are beautiful, historical, interesting or just plain fun but off the beaten tourist path!

As you travel FT, do you make an effort to locate a church of your denomination and visit? How do you go about locating a church service of your choice? Best Regards!
Hello Everyone, I am new to this board and to RVing. I have been scouring the net for information on RV's and what it will take to become a full timer. I am solo and looking forward to early retirement at the end of 2008, selling my house, taking my dogs and moving on to the next chapter of my life on the road....
Linda, would you please list the steps / actions that you took while driving through the passes (i.e. using lower gears, etc.). As the old trucker once said, "You can go down hill too slow numerous times, but you can only go down hill too fast once." (note he was an old trucker) I "thi...
I finally have a lone hummingbird at my window mount feeder!!! This is the first hummer I have seen live at my feeder in a great while. I am sooooo excited!! Now my questions - looking at the feeder mounted on the window I am noticing small ants crawling on it. Not many but I know where there is one there...
