Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are in our stick home in Garden Grove, California, but we will be taking off for a 3 week trip up to the Central Coast. My wife, Ava and I usuallly are on the road about 5 or 6 months annually. We enjoy the Northwest, especially the Oregon Coast.
We usually shut down for Novemeber and December because my wife and I are busy during the Christmas season as Santa and Mrs. Claus. I work in one of the major Malls in Orange County and Ava and I do many private parties when I am off set at the Mall. The 6 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas is total chaos. Our reward after working so hard during the holidays, it is to do our customary trip to the desert after New Years and hit the road around March or April for 4 or 5 months.
This coming year, 2008, we will be celebrating 40th year anniversary, thus we are treating ourselves to a tour of the good ole USA. From So. Cal to the Southeast, up the Eastern seaboard, back through Tennessee and on to Branson for the Rally. After the Rally we head up to Overland Park, Kansas for a Santa Claus conference with about 600-700 Santas from around the USA, Canada, and International. Should be a good HO HO HO time. From there up north, then eventually west to Seattle, WA. to go on a cruise to Alaska. Then when that is completed we will slowly head south, back home.
It has been a pleasure to read about or chat with "Our Gang" on the RV-Dream Site.

Congrats on 40 years, sounds like a wonderful plan to me. Hope you have great weather and fair winds as you travel. If you get all the way to Maine, eat a lobster or two.
My brother (who lives in Maine) does Christmas tree sales in Virginia between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. We also have a co-workamper here at Great Lakes Escape RV Resort who is Santa in a mall (don't know where). It does make for a busy season and certainly deserves a retreat to the desert (or wherever) once it's over.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Take your time and enjoy.
See you in Branson.
