Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Man that is great!!!! I know you are soooo relieved and you should be. Now you have to start living that FT lifestyle.....what a shame. Hope to see you out there. No thanks on the furniture. I'm still trying to get rid of ours.

Wow, great news.  Congratulations.  We look forward to having you join us out here in the land of houselessness (we're not homeless, just houseless).  You won't believe how free you'll feel once you get all of this behind you.  Congrats again!!!

CONGRATS!!  We are green with envy!  We still have the house to sell and we won't mention all the "stuff" to get rid of.  It is nice to hear your news - it gives us all hope LOL.
Good luck on getting rid of the furniture, that too shall go.
We feel your excitement!!biggrin.gif

Big Congratulations!  Isn't that just the greatest feeling, to hear there's an offer on the house.  I'm excited for you -- welcome to the road.

Our dream, left over from the 60's I guess, was to be unemployed and houseless.  Dream realized, and it's great out here.

I look forward to meeting you down the road!

Happy Travels,smile

Congratulations to you! I remember when we were in escrow I started feeling just a few pangs. Leaving a house after 20+ years was a bit nerve racking. And selling the "stuff" even more so. But as we drove off & turned to wave a last goodbye we were actually elated! We high-fived & grinned like two little kids as we drove out of our complex. One year later we went back & drove by to see the "old place." I said "do you it miss it bad?" Hubby laughed & said "not at all, how about you?" My reply, "I would not give up our new life or our new home  for all the tea in China"...So, we're feeling your joy & we wish you luck & we hope to see you on the road! smilesmile

Safe travels,  Lee Ann & Larry

Thanks for all the kind words!

This is getting better and better! The offer on our house was good, but not great. For some reason, homes in this part of NJ are not going to "contract" until after house inspection. The people who made the offer are being real jerks about everything, and we have not even had an inspection yet!!

Last night, We received a better offer from a different couple! This second couple was brought in by our selling broker, so she is even lowering her commission because she will now be the buying and selling broker!

Yesterday life was good, today life is great!

This second couple are much nicer folk, and while I know this is supposed to be business not personal, I feel much better about who will (hopefully!) be the next owners of our house.

Doug
