Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We received a certificate in the mail today telling us with compliments from the dealer we purchased our 5th wheel from (Justus Bros RV) and Camperworld, we have been awarded a Lifetime Membership to one of Camperworld's Outdoor Resorts in Utah. The membership fee of 3,995.00 has been waived due to o...
A few months ago several of us commented on the movie and book Into the Wild. I have just finished an exceptionally well-written true story called Shadow Divers by Robert Kurston. It is available in paperback. Shadow Divers is the story of a couple of deep sea wreck divers who find a missing WWII U-Boa...
I am not a computer person...help me out. About 6-8 weeks ago I stopped being able to get into the Forum. I clicked on RV-Forums on the home page and then the Purple RV-Dreams Community Forum. At that point I get the "no webpage available", I have tried daily for all this time without suc...
Hi everyone It has been awhile since I have been able to post and I just wanted to let everyone know we are alive and doing well. Our internet connections have been spotty. We rely on free wifi. We are currently in Bushnell Florida at the Blueberry Hill rv park. We do like it here, very nice and friend...
We can't tell you how happy we are that many in the RV-Dreams Family are meeting each other and spending time together. With the Forum and the Chat Room and the Buddy Map and so many folks with blogs, contacts are being made all over the place. That's so cool!!!! One thing Doug & JoAnn (http://ww...
I have noticed some signatures on some of the posts that list the poster's RV, tow vehicle and other interesting stats. Are these manually typed into each post or is it a macro thing?
I am so glad that it has been confirmed "there is no such thing as a dumb question"
We have finally got an offer on our house and now we are getting worried that we will not have a 5th wheel located in time, but I guess if the sell goes through, we can live in a Motel or something until we get the 5er. Anyway we have located a used Carriage Conestoga that been taken care of, but we have also be...
Howard, Is there any way for the program to make the posts a uniform size? Some of them are so small as to be unreadable to my old eyes, and I would love to enjoy them if possible. Regards, Fred
Hi, Does anyone have adivse on which credit cards give the best % of cash rebates? There are several, all with their own conditions. Thanks, Sue and Bob Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you've imagined.
Just wanted to say hi to all, have enjoyed reading the dream web site. We currently live in Kuwait but will be coming back to States this spring. My husband will continue to rotate and I will set up home in either 5th wheel or motorhome around Tx and Ok( still need to be close by international airports). We...

Wow!! What's going on with diesel prices?? We've been paying in the mid $3.40 - $3.50's for a while now, but the last 2 weeks prices have been dropping rapidly. We just filled up yesterday in Yuma, AZ for $3.17 Let's hope it's a sign for the future. Fred
I read on here sometime, where someone linked us to a trailer that you could load your motorcycle on, and pull behind a fifth wheel. Does anyone know where that link is? Thanks
Ok, I have been reading another Forum this afternoon and they were talking about using Calgon water softner in black tank. Then I read about the Geo Method. What is this??? I've never heard about Calgon used in the black tank. And this discussion got pretty heated!!!! Thats why I came back to RV-Dreams...
Hubby and I are hoping to full-time in about 6-months. I originally was going to get a satellite system, but I can't justify the cost at this point. I do have a Verizon PC card in my laptop (not activated yet). I will need the internet to send and receive large datafiles (rarely more than 7000 KB) a coup...
My husband has received a contract near Seattle, Wa (Issaquah) for 9 months starting in January. We are planning to leave mid december and travel in our fifth wheel along Texas, dip into Mexico and up the coast of Cal, ending near Seattle in mid Jan. If anyone has any info of the area, I would love to hear...
In our original poll of what folks wanted to include in our Scheduled Chat series, it was indicated by some of the future full-timers that they wanted to ask about things related to moving RVs. Therefore, the next Scheduled Chat will be Driving, Towing, & Parking which will include hitching &...
Hi there! Just became an "official" member of the RV-Dreams family. I've been reading the journal for a couple of months now and have posted a couple of comments, but wanted to make myself known. Enjoy the blog entries and hope to meet up with you somewhere down the road. If you get a minute, s...
Do any of you use diesel fuel additives? If so, do you see any benefits, such as increased mileage or reduction in the engine noise? What additives do you find are the best? -- Edited by DaveSam at 06:44, 2008-01-12
We started our full time journey in March, 2007. We tend to work our way from coast to coast where the weather is warm. Winter 2007-2008 finds us on Mexico's west coast. We update our journal every 2-3 days. You can find us at: RV There Yet?
http://guilertravels.blogspot.com We have been full-time RVers since June 2004; living the first 6 months in one place as we finished out the year in our respective workplaces. Then, in 2005, we hit the road and have been having a ball ever since. We invite you to travel along with us by checking in on...
I still live in my stix "n" brix, and I really enjoy feeding wild birds. I have several feeders, and I purchase various kinds of seed from a nearby rural grainery. I buy seed in bulk, often 40 or 50 lb bags that I store in my garage in plastic garbage cans. It is good quality and inexpensive sin...
Diabetic needs are fairly easy to find. What about some of the other diet issues like celiac disease etc? Can they be found easily on the road? I know there are other special diet needs how does every one handle finding the special things they may need? Anna:confused...
The low here in Naples, Fl last Thursday was 34 degrees F! That's the lowest temp we have experienced in our 6 years here. Yesterday the low was 45 and the high 68 and today a low of 57 and a high of 76 and Sunday has a forecast of 60 for the low and a high of 80! I like short winters, that's why we're here! ...
There are lots of sources of information concerning RV Parks to help people figure out where they are going to stay. I think the best is RVPARKREVIEWS.COM. The RV Parks are sorted by State and Town so you can easily drill down to the area you are interested in. And the reviews are all written by RVers,...
Hi Everyone, My name is Colleen and I am new to RV-Dreams and this forum. My husband and I have been dreaming about the day when we will begin fulltiming. We are too young to retire (he's 47 and I'm 34) but our desire to have the freedom to live our lives the way we want to is overwhelming. Our goal is...
Hi Everyone! We have been fulltiming since the winter of 2004 and we've met some incredible folks and have developed some life long friends. Some of those friends encouraged me to start a blog, so here goes! Check it out! http://discoverytravelers.blogspot.com/
