Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We take off Oct 5 to fulltime. We want to install a Pressure Pro System. I AM LAZY! So, instead of me doing all that work researching online for the best place to get a system, I just KNOW someone here can direct me in the right direction! Thanks Dreamers! Phyllis
WOW! This is better than Christmas! We actually bought an RV after 8 months of talking and planning and going back and forth on the decison. We'll be picking up our 2008 Newmar Ventana on Sept. 1 and driving it back to NC. We're still deciding on the toad. Any help with deciding between a Ford Escape and Ho...
While recently walking around in a nice wooded public campground, I noticed a couple of annoying uses for fire rings. First, some had unburned tree trunks in them the size of the WashingtonMonument. Like..That’s gonna burn before you leave after the weekend trip! Secondly, some of the fire rings ha...
We are looking into a mini laptop and wonder if anyone has any suggestions or warnings based on their experiences. Not so much the HD or RAM type of stuff, but the easy to miss type things. For instance I know I don't like the right shift key on the Eeee my husband uses for work on the road. I had no idea som...

Just bought our 5th wheel!!! We're excited about our pending adventures. Looking for a truck next. We've started to tell family members about our plans and are already getting snide remarks (e.g. "Are you going to join the circus too?", etc.). We would be interested in hearing others' ex...
THE WORK-A-DAY WORLD still has us in it's grips! But yes, we will go full-time in April 2013. We have a 38ft Safari DP motorhome and go almost every weekend, spring summer and fall. Lovely Pennsylvania. Meteorogist, the only job in the world where you can be wrong 90% of the time and not get fired. It wasn't suppose to rain for the next 5 days, just be partly cloudy. We decided to give our ole' girl a fresh coat of paint on the large trim piece that runs completely around the middle...

OK sensitive question for a newbie but I have to ask. We are currently looking at a 26' fifth wheel camper for our Dodge 3500. I want to bring my dual sport along and would like to know what everyone thinks about adding a mount and more importantly weight behind the rear axles. I have seen it done but CAN IT B...
How many of you have a vintage RV that you use full time? Are we the only crazy ones out there who love antique vehicles? We surely would like to know, good and bad, either way, we would like your input. Don and Ann
Well I should have used a checklist before pulling away from our spot in Chula Vista RV Park. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry because we were past check out time and the new folks were waiting. So I failed to do my, "Check to make sure all storage doors are locked" walk around. I got the side w...
We we and got the 2006 Freightliner M2, and its awesome. We just thought since we are going up to the 2010 Mobile Suites 38 TKSB 4 the additional weight required more Truck and in opinion you can't have to much Truck. And we really missed the Air ride Suspension, Air ride seats and of course the FL h...
Hi Everyone, I read this forum daily and it seems like there are more and more peoplegiving up the conventional working sticks and bricks lifestyle and going fulltime living in an rv. I was just wondering if you have heard or will estimate how many peopleare currently fulltiming in an rv in the USA? I k...
After 6 months on the big island of Hawaii we have returned to the NW. Since we had already given up our stix and brix we decided to go RVing. I'd been researching for the past 3 months and after initially thinking a 5er was the way to go, I changed my mind and was seriously looking for a class A DP and small 4x4...

I'm trying to decide on what brand of tires to put on the motor home. My sources are equally adamant and positive of their choice of tires. One says stay with Goodyear. The tires on now are Goodyear. The other guys (not an RVer but a trucker) says Goodyear tires are terrible (not in my case) and to only bu...
Hi. My name is Tonya and my hubby is Zach. My hubby is in the USAF and we have two kids. We are trading our house and all that comes with it and going to live a simpler life in the RV. Right now we live in Florida, but as soon as we order the RV and trade the house, we are going to put in for a transfer. We are loo...
We did it! After MONTHS of planning, researching, checking & re-checking Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings, Combined Vehicle Weight Ratings, Axle Ratings, pin weights, searching for & finding the right fiver, endless [seemingly] searching for the right truck with the right transaxle rat...
Good morning all, Rod here. For the last 3 weeks I have been coming home after work, changing clothes, throwing the ball for Sam our chocolate lab and then painting trim on the house until dark. I hate painting, it's mind numbing. For the last 2 nights as I paint I keep wondering "what are Howard &a...
Wish we could attend the rally in October! Have you ever considered having a rally later in the year so that we Canadian snowbirds can make it there too? We have been fulltiming for just 3 weeks now and have lots to learn but are loving it so far! Would be great to have an opportunity to meet up with oth...
I have recently had a few close calls with low bridges that could easily have resulted in a bad accident. Does anyone know of a good GPS system or add on for my Garmin that would give a low bridge warning? Something like a speed camera POI list could work, but I can't seem to find anything. Many thanks.
We've been looking at the Seville's and have really taken a liking to them. We're just looking and gathering information at this point, we don't go on the road till January 2012. Has anyone out there have a Seville? If so, how do you like it? How does it pull? Can you give us any tips? Thanks Bob & Cher
