Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

rally

Wish we could attend the rally in October!   Have you ever considered having a rally later in the year so that we Canadian snowbirds can make it there too?  We have been fulltiming for  just 3 weeks now and have lots to learn but are loving it so far!  Would be great to have an opportunity to meet up with other Dreamers but we won't be heading south until November.

Assuming we don't land some really good, fun job in the next few months, I think we will be doing more rallies.  I can see at least two next year, maybe three.  The hardest part is picking a good site with good facilities that has rally experience.

In the future, I can see the potential for a series of educational rallies that take us to areas we want to see and that allow for a more regional attendance.  And, if we can figure this out just right, we'd like to mix in purely social rallies as well.

Lots of ideas running through our minds, but we may take a shot at more rallies and less workamping.  Of course, that's today's thought.  Who knows what we will ulitmately do.  smile

Sounds good to me Howard. We thoroughly enjoyed last years rally and would like to see the RV Dreams group again. Unfortunately we will not be able to make this rally as we have a commitment on our volunteer job in Vt. until mid Oct. The educational rally was good for us when we were starting on the road. I like the idea of a social rally now.

Something to think about.
Have it over the winter months as the snowbirds are in the south and a lot do not work over the winter.
Also having in the East as in FL we feel would bring a lot of fulltimers.
We for one do not go west of the Mississippi to much, don't get us wrong we do plan a summer tour of the west in a few years and we did work in Montana last year.
We spend most of our time in the east and FL. in the winter

I like the idea going more East for a rally/get together in the future.  We should be on the road by at least March 2010, and still learning how to handle an RV.  We can't go too far West as we still have to care for my mom. Meeting up in the East sounds great!
