Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After following this forum for the last 4 months ... and becoming addicted ... I think it is time I finally introduce myself! My name is Angela and my husband Don and I are hoping to sell our house in the next couple of months and live fulltime in a 5th wheel. Hopefully we will be able to travel south in th...

As we posted earlier, our RV was broken in to and our tv's were stolen. Significant damage was done to the rv trying to get the tv's out. The claims adjuster said it has been an epidemic in the St. Louis area. Many storage facilities and dealerships have been hit. He strongly suggests taking any fla...
Hey folks, been a long time since I posted (I do lurk from time to time). We are headed to the Gypsy Journal Rally in Elkhart. We'll arrive on Thursday or Friday. Wondering if anyone else is going (or there). Other than that, life is still good as is married life. We just finished two weeks in Sturgis, the f...
Would like to hear more about the pros and cons of having a washer and dryer installed in your RV for full timing?
I can't imagine not wanting to have the convenience of having them in your RV to use whenever you want.
Trying to get an answer here all in one place ... :) Yes, I have a 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty SWD short-bed. Yes, I have a Reese 16K manual slider hitch installed. Yes, I want to maximize the use and utility of the available space in the bed. So, I'm thinking about a truck box, or a tonneau, or a combination of...
Three months and one day after taking our fifthwheel to the dealer for them to check it over for repairs, Len called them today and they said it will be ready tomorrow. When we took it there on May 24 they said about 3 weeks to get parts in and less than two weeks to do repairs. Yea, right. Thankfully w...

Hi everyone. I'm Vi and my dh is Kev. In June, one day as we were driving down the highway we saw a motorhome towing a vehicle. I looked at Kev and said, "I can see you and I living in one of those and traveling around some day." He was astounded, but the idea really captured our imaginations a...
We're looking at a used 2000 - 37 foot Forrest River Fifth Wheel that has never been on the road. We're a little concerned because it has never been on the road. It has been used as a vacation unit and parked the whole time. However, it's in really good shape. But the fact that it has never been on the road has...
We have our truck and are looking for a 5th wheel. Have still have to get the hitch installed. Was wondering if anyone out there had any experience the the "Air Safe" hitch. I believe it is manufactured in Orlando, FL - at least that's where the dealer is. Thanks, Bob & Judy
Please bear with me on this one. It touches home because two fellow Okies were victims and because Jo and I work for a law enforcement agency in Oklahoma. With the good news today of the arrest of the Arizona prison escapees, I can now rest a little easier and worry less for those friends on these forums t...

I'm an IT Support manager for a local real estate company, and am considering retiring (or possibly working remotely) in the next five years or so. I am seriously considering full-timing and am at the stage now where I'd like to narrow down what kind of RV I'm going to get. I'm pretty much set on a fifth-...
We upgraded to a Keystone Laredo 2004 to match our 3/4 ton ford truck and it has been great for week long stays, but reading this forum and hoping to snowbird or more what troubles will come with using this camper full time?
Terry thanks for taking time to come by and have a cup of coffee and Ice cream. It was great to meet you and I look forward to having a repeat when I return to Ok. City. Dan PS I made sure I didn't park close to you.
O.K. not really a question but rather my anxiety over which one to choose. I already have the truck and of course a 5th wheel would be cheaper but....I just really like the idea of a motorhome. Now I'm leaning towards selling the truck (taking a hit $$$) and using that money towards the moho. UGH! I ho...

Being the planner that I am, I've started to map and time our trip to Kentucky and thought this group may have some input. In early October we are headed east for a couple months of rock climbing in the SE. We are planning to take the interstate until we have to turn off and head south of Lexington to the Re...
Johnny just got a call to go to work at Palisades Nuclear Plant in south Michigan the end of September for about 6 weeks. Now we need to find a RV Park / Campground with full 50 amp hook ups in the area. Preferrably one that doesn't cost and arm and leg and will accomodate a 40foot 5th wheel. I checked the...
